Their permanent price in Lidl/Aldi is under £1. An example of Sainsbury's rip off price, and spurious offers.

whether they die or not is partly up to you. get basil on a warm sunny windowsill and it will live for weeks. rosemary lives for months in my greenhouse. parsley does ok too. it doesn't seem to matter where they come from.. the only one i can't seem to keep alive is coriander

water them then! brought basil that's lasted for months if watered and on warm windowsill.

try to check in your local homebase coz most herbs are reduced to 75p. =)

Got my potted coriander in Aldi this evening for 69p. Really fresh and will last ages.
I had some chives from Morrisons but it wilted badly after a few days.

Need to be put on a window sill and watered ASAP. I usually get mint to last 4-6 months. The last one I had lasted a year although it was nutrient deficient and grew tiny leaves after a while (couldn't be arsed to fertilise).

Tip for mint. Don't put it in your garden unless in a sealed pot sunk in the earth. It is very invasive and you will have a job controlling it. It's pretty hard to kill being a rhizome and can grow from a very small bit of root.

many thanks, purchased one.
I dont knw much about this plant- can we plant this in the garden (in the soil) or do we keep this in the pot, and later transfer to another bigger pot when needed? Thanks

I've transferred these to large pots for the patio. blueberries need acidic soil, so this is much easier to control in pots than in the ground, although not impossible in the ground. if putting in pots, use ericaceous soil, and harvest rainwater for watering in dry periods for best results.
