What's the metallic paint like? Is it still intact? I've read some reviews saying it flakes off. Cheers.

Might look great but it's sh*t to use. Awkward handle position means care must be taken not to suffer burn from steam, it also makes it awkward to fill and if the lid comes off while you're pouring your hand is f*cked. Girlfriend bought it and she didn't even complain when she came back home to find I'd replaced it after a week, She'd never admit it but she didn't think much of it either.

Yet I have this kettle, and haven't came across any issues at all. The matching toaster, on the other hand...

Bought this a few weeks ago for £18. We are really pleased with it. Yes it is quite noisy but it boils quickly and the pouring spout is fab. We have had no problems so far with the steam from the lid as someone else mentioned. I would have no problem recommending this product.

Picked this up with the 4 slice toaster for £15 each back in December at Sainsburys, no problems really but immediately upon boiling water can spill over the spout
