Since purchasing the Lean in 15 cook book I have been looking for a decent digital scales and came across this in B and M. This Russell Hobbs digital scales comes with ML measurement function.
I asked and it is national.
Cheapest you will find it as its £12.99 on Amazon and eBay.
Comes with tare function, automatic power saver mode, battery and a 5 year guarantee

I bought one of these just over a month ago from the store up near Whitley Bay... same price so it seems to be held.
Works well for weighing out my hops & grain etc for home brew, and is super cheap for a branded item too.

This looks like a good deal, I'll keep an eye open for it next time I venture into the Buy & Moan store.

Question: Does anyone know how to recalibrate electic scales such as these over time.
Looking for a technique to test/check accuracy initially and then periodically over the long teem.

£2 coins are 12 grammes, I think, like bang on as long as they're not covered in crud so I use stacks of 10 to test mine.
One set of Salter scales I had went a bit off and I found out you could recalibrate them by pulling out the battery then holding down all the buttons when you put it back. It then wanted a 1.5kg and 3kg load to calibrate. I used one of the scales I had to weight out the right amount of water in bottles and used that. Do a search for your brand of scales to see if it's got a hidden calibrate feature.
