seen other RAC stuff in various cheap shops and it looks/feels like junk tbh, so I would say they no better then other poundland type headlight bulbs which I have tried and one actually melted!

The effort of changing your bulb twice in a week makes Poundland bulbs not worth the trouble.
Been there, done that - once for each side. They didn't just get a burned out filament within hours of use, the entire glass fuses/disintegrated. Don't be taken in by the RAC moniker and I've got a feeling the Poundland CEO doesn't put these in his car.
Ring bulbs from Wilko do it for me.
However if you do get tempted by Poundland car bulbs do report back on how long they last.

Useful to show the police if you get pulled up with a headlight out and that's about all.

You do realise how this branding thing works don't you?
Someone bungs the RAC a pile of dosh to 'license' the brand, then sticks it on some tat. RAC should maintain more control over how their brand is used but, apparently, they don't.
buglawton's comment is spot on - especially if you have a Renault or some other which has to be taken apart to change a bulb.

Until you actually need to light your way and then they will melt and you will be in the proverbial..

No doubt these won't be the 'best' quality but good for an emergency.

They are definitely different from the usual poundland/poundworld ones.. they usually have no maker or identification stamped on them..
These are stamped GK.. but i cant figure out who that is .. so possibly some chinese company..
Quality might not be any better.. but they are definitly not 100% identical.. so you never know.

bought poundland car bulbs before never again
One i put in my car failed after about 2 weeks . one in my motorbike failed after about 2 months .
Replaced them with ring bulbs and they have been going strong now for just over a year .
the only use I can see for these is if you do all your driving in daylight and just need a headlight to illuminate for 30 secs every year to pass your MOT

Its about time Poundland changed their name and business model so they can sell better quality items for a pound but also more than a pound but still a bargain. I rarely enter Poundland nowadays, been stung on quality and of course it's not worth taking a £1 item back.
