2 seconds to pop up, 4 hours trying to get it folded back up!

Only if you're the sort of plank who can't work out how to put a coat on.

We have the big 4 man double skinned Quechua quick pitch tent and once you've cracked the technique you can put it up in a few seconds and down in a few minutes. That's the full works unit, so I suspect 4 hours is a tad exaggerated. I bought mine 6 years ago when they first came out and still going strong so I suspect the newer designs are even better.

Agree with the fact that hassle getting it down negates the 2 secs pop up!

There is no "hassle" in putting them down/away. There is only the hassle of actually bothering to learn how to do it - many lazy slobs prefer to just moan about it though. They remind me of the humans in Wall-E

We've got one of these and they are brilliant for getting changed at the beach. I agree with the comments about getting it back in the carry bag, but there are some YouTube videos showing how to do it, so save that to you phone and watch it just before you need to put it away again.

Putting them down is not very intuitive ..... however, if you take the time to read the instructions it is nearly as quick to put them away. I have helped several people in the past, one of them was a wife who approached me because her husband had been struggling with the tent on the beach.......... He was mortified..... ego scampered off.......

Instructions are usually poor but the you tube videos are very useful.

Just remember nobody puts baby in a corner....

looked at these just last week for this purpose but felt the SPF was too low for a baby. baby ones are usually 50+ (or at least the ones the wife has shortlisted are)

First time I got a pop up tent I 'tested' in the office after work.
Got worried that people'd come in the next morning to my tent still setup in the middle of the floor.
However, once you've worked out the technique you can get the tend down and packed away in under a minute.
