Rainbow Six Siege is the upcoming installment of the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise developed by the renowned Ubisoft Montreal studio for the new generation of consoles and PC.
Inspired by the reality of counter terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the center of the experience.
The multiplayer gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Rainbow Six games.
Loved the old R6 Vegas games playing split screen. This seemed interesting until I realised there was no local play - just makes it another shooter I couldn't care less about

Is there any kind of story to it? Or just the same thing over and over?

You mean like Donkey Kong and Mario story or like Romeo and Juliet type of story..
No single player story / campaign I'm afraid.
The story is terrorists have made some bombs and the rainbow six squad has been re assembled to eliminate the threat.
Single player has 11 scenarios to play which introduce you to the gameplay and tactics. The only other single player mode is lone wolf terrorist hunt.. Fun but not £17.99 worth of fun.. Online team PVP is where this game is at..

Yes imho once you get the hang of it you'll enjoy it, this isn't like COD or battlefield though a lot slower and more tactical.
Bought it for £19.99 last week and it's starting to gel well now, so much so it's the first game i launch when i turn the xbox on and I have all the Battlefields/CODS in my collection.

Best i have played and i have bought pretty much every non indie game of the last 10 years. Reminds me of when i used to play cs source. But its better.

Best of the generation so far. So well balanced.

It's one of the most satisfying multiplayer games I've ever played, and I've played a fair few in my time. Get on a team with mics and you're flying (even if they're randoms).

Thought it looked crap but actually one of my favourite games of all time. Will be playing for years. Perfect balance.

Technically it's Counter-Terroritsts killing other Counter-Terrorists (minus 'terrohut').
Good deal, price seems more inline to what's contained in this game. It's a fun game which almost took me away from CS:GO shame about the hit-detection bugs and the grindy/dlc/currency BS. Gameplay is pretty sublime otherwise.

I tried it on PC last weekend, the only game ever to actually make me nauseous (seriously).
Didn't seem too bad but I'd put my money elsewhere.
