Likely because it maybe seen as a 'sympathy deal' rather then an actual deal' put another way would the OP have posted this last week assuming it was 99p then? I bought this when it was released on cd. It drove me crazy because all the songs were on 1 track. You couldn't just play them you had to fast-forward to them. Alphabet Street is such a great song.

I'm not a fan of about 90% of Prince's stuff but 1999 and Purple Rain are staggeringly good. Little Red Corvette is one of my all time favourite tunes. The guy was one hell of a talent. One watch of that George Harrison tribute performance doing the Youtube rounds is all you need to confirm it!

Not my cup of Tea Mr Prince(Clash/punk music for me)but liked some of his early stuff....no doubt he was a very talented musician and I can understand why so many folk like him....Genius is branded about too often nowadays...but in this case Mr Prince was indeed a genius....and this is coming from a Punk Rock fan!

He could play every instrument profificiently and to have been honoured to see him 6 times, I can honestly say he is the best individual artist I have ever seen... please bare in mind I have seen over 1000 artists, so it's pretty high praise.

Prince was never one of my favourites, and I only own a small amount of his music, but to write him off as a one hit wonder is delusional.

If (like me) you've got a lot of old vinyl that you want in digital format; use The Cameliser add-on for Firefox or Chrome to monitor the price of secondhand CDs on Amazon (it's amazing what you can pick up for 1p plus £1.26 P&P!).

You can then use Exact Audio Copy to make lossless copies for use with a decent hifi for itunes to make MP3 copies for your phone/ipod.
The digital copies you make that way will be much better than ones made from a USB turntable.

Also, you can upload the digital copies to your Google Music library for free and now you can listen to them anywhere (even on your bike if you have mobile data!)

I was knew Prince was only streaming his music on Tidal, and really wanted to listen to some. There are many of his available and was astounded by this price. It's a deal any day of the week. And yes I only found it because of his passing. But what an album. And for sure at a bargain of a price.
