The game's plot focuses on Maxine Caulfield, a photography student who discovers that she has the ability to rewind time at any moment, leading her every choice to enact the butterfly effect. After having foreseen an approaching storm, Max must take on the responsibility to prevent it from destroying her town. The player's actions will adjust the narrative as it unfolds, and reshape it once allowed to travel back in time. Fetch quests and making environmental changes represent the forms of puzzle solving in addition to using branching choices for conversation.

Absolute bargain. Best game I played all of last year.
Great soundtrack, story, characters, artstyle and what not.
Around 15 hours to play through as well, no brainer for under £10.

Given the plethora of different real-life complexities that are touched upon by this game, many of them not comparably seen in interactive media, I can't really believe you engaged with this game. Spoiler Alert Depression, PTSD, suicide, schizophrenia, euthanasia, manslaughter and murder to name just a few... don't see how you can say the story is cliché. If you've seen even a selection of these things in games before, point the way, I'd like to see those if you think they're done better than this.
And sure, the vaguely familiar teenage girls at the centre of it are cliché, but that's entirely the point. The blank canvas setting forgoes zombie apocalypse 'man is the real monster' to seamlessly show that real people can have real problems too.
Sorry but I just had to say something. If you think this is aimed at teenagers then I really wonder what kind of themes could be more mature than this...

Bought this when it was on offer on the XB1 after playing the demo. Its a brilliant and original game, one of the best I've played in a long time. If you like story driven games then you'll love this, closest comparison I can think of at present would be similar to the Telltale games i.e. Game of Thrones, Wolf Among Us, Walking Dead.
I also agree with other other comments on here about this game being great. How many of us saved Arcadia Bay? Not me.

hassansf to fastrthanapigeon
20 Apr 16#17
according to OUKTURKEYIII CDKeys has reduced prices for PSN credit, there's also eBay and O2 SIM cards.
If you don't mind waiting a little over a week if go for the O2 SIM cards, you get PSN credit at 50% off.
JCBRFC to fastrthanapigeon

O2 Sim cards is what I use, it's a little bit of a hassle but worth it, £10 gets you £20 PSN credit (used to be £30).

Wouldn't the season pass be a better buy, since episode 1 is free?
Since the season pass includes Episodes 2-5. Complete season is 1-5.

to speed things up order two SIMs, one per order and a different, valid email address for each. Any more than this and they'll only send you two.

That's just a timed trial / demo that is free for episode 1, so you would still have to purchase it along with the season pass which works out to being more

Episode one isn't free unfortunately, currently £2.09, so it would cost £8.68 with that method with PS+..

Nope, all episodes are included and they have all released, so no waiting needed at all except for the downloading time.
JCBRFC
20 Apr 16#61
Probably should have used it when you bought it, not so sure there is anything you can do without a receipt, even with a receipt they might not be able to do anything if it had expired.

danthetaliban
20 Apr 16#70
Make sure you're looking at the version of the other episodes on the same platform as the season pack. Made the same mistake - search for each episode and find the correct platform and it should show as free. Why games like this aren't cross-play is beyond me.
JCBRFC
20 Apr 16#71
Also there's usually an option in game on the main menu that takes you to the store page for each episode, can't remember if actually does or not was ages ago when I played this but must episodic games do, try that if you're still struggling.

20 Apr 16#73
Excellent deal for £7.89. Also thanks to the person that pointed out that you need to manually download all episodes. It's strange thing to have to do when you buy a bundle though but it must have something to do with the game originally being released in single episodes on the store.

Is the season pass worth getting with this? Does it add to the story or is it needed to get the whole story?
JCBRFC

No, this includes everything whereas the season pass just includes episode 2-5 and requires you to buy episode 1. Season pass is pointless if buying this.
