...media (sorry, accidentally hit enter and the app won't let me delete/edit posts) I've seen .I've got the 64gb one and I think I paid about this price for it a few months ago. Must resist as a micro sd (cheapest 128gb I've seen at the mo is £30) would be much more useful...
I do need a couple of small pen drives to use for Windows recovery drives, any suggestions?
They are not the quickest drives to write to but work fine for installing OS's. I keep copies of Windows 7 and 8 on a couple of mine for convenience. I picked mine up in a deal 6 months ago when they were cheaper still so worth waiting for a promotion.
I have this specific drive, it's painfully slow if you regularly have to use it to transfer data. However I use it as a convenient place to store files for long term storage or have easy access to a large range of files for which these are ideal. The drive manages about 1-2megabytes per second for me transferring 90gb of photographs. I don't know how long that transfer actually took as I had it up for about an hour doing things on my server and after that forgot about it for a few days before I came back to remove it but it's certainly not planning on being a speed freak. If you plan to transfer films and other large files then a USB 3 option is probably better. for example something like this;
Fully open to correction but (a) I believe this memory stick gets pretty hot (never a good sign), and (b) mymemory have their own 128GB memory stick for around this price which apparently works very well.

I have 2 of the usb 3 128gb drives which i use all the time for disk imaging. They too get hot to touch but never had any probs.
Had two 64gb. Both failed within 6" months. Good price but certainly questions on reliability.

Not good reviews on here. Look at previous grixx posts.

All things considered then, looks ideal for slowly storing data you don't care about.

128gb at usb 2 speed would take you something like 2 hours to perform a full copy to the drive. False economy if you are using it for large file transfers in one go.

I recommend spend more and go for the Samsung Fit 128GB USB3.0. It's now at £24.99 http://www.mymemory.co.uk/USB-Flash-Drives/Samsung/Samsung-128GB-USB-3.0-Flash-Drive-FIt---130MB_s
- Better speeds, I got 130 MB/s read and 110 MB/s according to crystaldisk mark (thats like 10times faster, something that takes 1 hours with the Girxx will take 6minutes with Samgsung Fit)
- Good quality, Waterproof, Small (in large ones there is risk of bend/break)
- 5-year warranty
