NAS whiskies aren't a problem really - some distilleries don't want you to focus on the age, but rather the quality. For example Laphroaig Quarter Cask doesn't need an age statement as the cask is tiny compared to the butts or hogshead casks, resulting in more wood exposure on the liquid, making it mature quicker. The focus is on the quality, not the age.
