This Tesco receipt is taking a time to process!
Others submitted the same day and ones from yesterday have been processed, so maybe a problem with Tesco receipts? Rarely takes 4 days to process.

i understand and agree with your point about going against his "ethos", and i do doubt he had much to do with the recipe, but i have an issue with you "nasties" comment.
i do agree that a simple recipe will be cheaper, but without testing these packets i dont know how reliable the results will be, especially the more complicated products that arent simple bread.

I'm a bakery technologist, please don't try to explain the ingredient declaration to me it's unnecessary.
My point, which you clearly missed, is that Paul Hollywood is all for the natural/BFP/sourdough so this seemingly goes against his belief. Added to that, if people want to make bread at home it's more economical and healthier to buy a bag of flour, some salt, yeast (unless using a liquid starter which is just flour and water left to ferment), and water. To address the inevitable "people don't have time" you can use a simple flour/water/salt/yeast recipe and prove bread overnight/during the day in the fridge. It's a lot healthier and cheaper, which unless I'm mistaken this site is all about saving money/deals.
That being said, it's a nice deal when you can pick it up for free.

Pants! Just back from Mr T. Was chuffed to get both the mix and the cider (not sure about that one), but I didn't spy the extra voucher. I suppose I shall have to be content with free ;-)

The sad thing about that product is he gets the fame and the fortune because his name is on it but in reality he doesn't have the scientific background/knowledge to be able to develop the product.
Even worse, it goes against everything he supposedly stands for when preaching about "baking from scratch", those premixes have some pretty nasty additives which you wouldn't use if you just bought a bag of flour, salt, and yeast.
Either way though it's a good freebie but be aware of the ingredients.

there is nothing that comlex about these recipes. what are you talking about? as far as nasties go, the only slight nasty is sorbitan monostearate. how is that any worse than datem used in most breads?
