it seems so good but the flymo grass cutter is pants. a really small cutting area and you will need the strimmer as it the blades of the mower will not get closer than 30 cms from any border. it fails miserably to collect the grass and spews it all over. I bought one to cut a smaller area round the kids play toys/swings etc instead of dragging the petrol one round and its just frustrating. buy at your own peril. I think it just boils down to the fact that people want a hover mower. it's slower than a normal mower. even the instructions advise you to cut in straight lines and not sweeping about all over like the old adverts used to show.
and when you get anywhere near a path it will spew even more clippings about. even the power lever is hit and miss. best bit about it is the colour. stick a KTM sticker on it and you feel just that bit happier. arrggghhh....garbage. read the reviews....

Those cheap Strimmers are absolutely useless.Get clogged up immediately.. You'd be better off with shears.

​just buy one that doesent hover. it's just a gimmick. look at how much cutting with their is and how far the blades cut to the edge of the mower so your cutting up to the border as close as you can.

Correct - this is a rotary mower - with wheels.

yes it's got wheels, you can even see them in the pic! I bought this cheap set over 5 years ago, and apart from the blade tearing instead of cutting nowadays it's been great for my small lawns. and when it's on wheels you can go longer between cuts.

It's got really good reviews. Think MrGringo must have been looking at a different flymo.

The strimmer doesn't seem great looking at the photos. After looking around I went for the £50 Qualcast mower and £11 Sovereign strimmer for around the same price. I was tempted by the heavy duty strimmer on offer but my gardens too small to justify!

The qualcast one is £49.99. Good reviews as well, anyone has it?
