I've got the ortliebs for the rear, I don't think the design is all that.
I've reserved these, hoping they will fit ok on the front.

What front rack do you use?
(As for the Ortlieb design - I have tried lots of other panniers, but the Ortliebs are the only ones that are tough, strong, light, easy to attach and fully waterproof. All the other bags I've tried are compromised in one of those ways)
I don't doubt the ortliebs will last a lifetime, I have got a couple of their drybags that have been shoved in a canoe every weekend for nearly 10 years and still look great. The annoyance I have is the way they can only be rolled down and clipped to the bag. I've now realised it's my own fault for going cheap with the city rollers, the others don't do this!
