Alex Garland writes and directs this sci-fi thriller starring Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson. Gleeson plays Caleb, a promising young programmer, who is selected by the CEO (Isaac) of a large internet company to spend a week at his retreat in the mountains. When he arrives, Caleb soon learns that the retreat is in fact the location of a laboratory involved in pioneering research into artificial intelligence and robotics and is home to the world's first fully sentient robot (Alicia Vikander). However, as the two men interact more and more with the AI, it becomes apparent that she is more sophisticated than they imagined...
Great film, good acting from all, especially Alicia Vikander who is quite mesmerising.

Agree.
Not fast paced or any action, just the unwinding story of the three protaginists.
Whether i would buy the Blu-ray/dvd is another matter as its one of those films that is likely to be forever on somewhere like Amazon/Sky/Netfilx or show on terrestrial tv.

Heat added for the dance scene alone in this film.

Robo-babe. I'd definitely like to plug my lightning cable into her USB port.

Been meaning to watch this and just seen the cast list. Is this a prequel to Force Awakens?

Twice I have ordered from zoom and they crush the Blu-ray's tightly in a piece of corrugated cardboard, in which they are tightly wrapped and compressed. All the cases end up dented on the middle back and generally flattened.
Admittedly nearly all online retailers package Blu-rays poorly, but Zoom are particularly bad.
Cold from me because of this.
