Paid £28 for this in 2014. It's great, is still going strong and gets used every other weekend or so. My tool tray was missing one of it's fixing bolts but has survived with the single bolt so far. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat, particularly for this price.
Only thing I'd say is if you're going to do bike washes on this, you want to wipe down the telescopic bits (bit of GT85 might not go amiss either) because the water starts producing surface rust very quickly.

Is the lidl one not more expensive?
A phrase you won't hear often.

If is the same as the Lidl one then I fully recommend. Heat added as is £3 cheaper (and includes delivery)

I'm thinking, could this also be used as a way of making a bit of space in a garage that has 5 bikes squeezed into it. I thought if I could raise one bike up it might permit another to sit up against it. Anyone who has one I'd be grateful if they thought it might help...I realize its not an ideal solution but in addition to a useful repair stand it may also have another use?

i would consider just hanging some from the ceiling if that is a possibility. would be cheaper too. just have two loops of rope

Once you've got the thing set up the legs take up a huge amount of space - at least 1m2. Look into bike hooks, they're only a quid each and you could just hang all five bikes via the front wheels.
