Was in store picking up the last few of these for my collection and I saw Ryu looking at me from behind the counter for a tenner, along with Roy for 7 quid. Bargain, I thought.
Counter lady said they'd received instructions from head office to discount all the Amiibos to varying degrees but didn't know why. Checked online when got home and a good chunk of their Amiibo stock is at £6.99 with a few at £9.99. Decent prices as they're £10.99 @ Nintendo store, Argos and Smyths, originally about £15 or so from Grainger and Game.
Retail wise, Smyths only have the last 3 Smash Amiibos and none of the new Animal Crossing ones, Argos have none of the last lot and Game are still charging £15 when I looked last in store.
Note that Ryu and Roy are sadly not available online, but the newest Animal Crossing ones are as well as a lot of the older ones.

Do Grainger games pack them in boxes or jiffy bags, would ordering a few together increase the chances
of them using a box?
Also, does anyone know if Amazon price match Grainger games?

Cheers! I honestly can't remember about boxes for Amiibos. The last time I ordered one from Grainger was about a year ago. I'm fairly sure that it did but can't say 100%.

It was a bag last time I got one from them. So no good if you want the box in mint condition.

Also note that these are NEW prices, not used - there are more with only used stock available but all the links are ones that are new and in stock (at time of post). Used ones are a couple of quid cheaper but of course aren't guaranteed to come in a box...

Thank you for the reply, but was that just 1 Amiibo? I'm in need of the new Animal Crossing and Smash Bro's Amiibo that recently released and was waiting for a good price on them. I'm thinking they should use a box if i order 5 or more right?
I do collect a set for in box good condition purposes, and would hate to receive any in jiffy bags.
I am hoping Amazon price match as I know they will send them in a cardboard box.

Remember it's in store too, if you have one near you. Their shop stock has always been in great condition for me (if a little dusty). You can check store stock near for each one on each item page.

As tempted as I am, I think I'm going to sit out on this one as I've seen the quality drop on these and I think I'd rather have detailed figures on my shelves. Though that said, I'm only just into collecting figures and the detailed ones are as expensive as hell.

I don't trust Grainger games, I have bought new things from them before and have received only used items.
