Thought this a cracking price for what you get staying in a beautiful hotel with excellent reviews across the net.
This historic property sits within 8 acres of Hertfordshire countryside & overlooks the 18-hole Letchworth Golf Club grounds
Letchworth was the first garden city in the world, designed by Sir Ebenezer Howard & named one of the "design miracles" of the 20th century by The Daily Telegraph
The property is a 40-minute drive from Cambridge & St Albans
Built in 1625 and later absorbed into the world's first garden city, Letchworth Hall is a 4-star manor-house hotel with preserved original features such as grand chimney stacks, oak panelling, rustic beamed ceilings and stone fireplaces. Previous guests include Oscar Wilde, Daryl Hannah and Elaine Paige.
The property is between the market towns of Hitchin and Baldock, and is nestled within eight acres of countryside which is roamed by muntjac deer and Letchworth black squirrels -- which were first spotted in their natural habitat in 1912.
The hotel has its own spa, offering treatments ranging from manicures to massages, and there is also an on-site Nuffield Health Centre which all guests can access for free. This has a gym, a heated indoor pool, a sauna and a steam room. Lytton's Restaurant has a menu offering British and international dishes, and the bar has views of Letchworth Golf Course, which has 18-holes and was established in 1905. There are 87 ensuite bedrooms, and there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
For acres of natural beauty guests may head to Stevenage and take a walk around the picturesque Benington Lordship Gardens, before enjoying a bite and a few drinks at one of the many restaurants and pubs in Hertford.
Visitors may also take a drive to St. Alban’s Cathedral, founded in 793 AD, and marvel at its Gothic architecture, ornate ceilings, and medieval paintings. Next, they may delve into Roman history with a visit to the Verulamium Museum, home to some of the most intricate mosaics outside of the Mediterranean, before crossing over to the ruins of the Roman Theatre, built in circa 140 AD.

I tend to avoid these deals because you end up going to places filled with people who use Groupon.

I wasnt comparing the price to another website, i booked it on the fact that £30 each for a really nice looking hotel with a sauna, pool, gym and a breakfast thrown in is a FAR better deal than £30 on the motor way travel lodge with a tea stained foldable sofa bed and hairy curtains "/
