I got an email about this and was just looking. When you spend a lot one of the considerations is how easy is it to return an item and JL are easier to deal with than many

This is one of the reasons I posted the deal,as IMO John Lewis has some of the best customer service out there.

It's a good offer but John Lewis never appear to offer "great" deals on laptops from what I can see.

Don't forget John Lewis do price match

Yes, I guess the trick is finding a good deal elsewhere and getting a price match on a product ( assuming they stock it)

Three year guarantee is peace of mind for most folks and a 399.00 laptop - even if it only lasts 3 years it will only work out at just 36p a day - that's good value surely ? Delivery is free as well !

If I spent £399 on a laptop I'd expect it to last longer than 3 years.
Am I being greedy or what?
How long could one realistically expect a £399 laptop to last? Just ordinary use ie not gaming where I gather things move on apace.

u can buy a 200 laptop and replace after 2 years for another 2 years u will get some residual value for first one as well

I'm not agreed with you. I just have an issue with John Lewis atm. I would said. The worst customers service. I have checked trustpilot. Thousands give John Lewis a 1 star.

I had a problem with an iPad Air 2 that I purchased from them and they said the quickest way for me to get it replaced would be to take it to my nearest store.I explained to them that it would cost me a small fortune in my car to drive to the store as my car isn't what you'd call economical, the guy on the phone said this wouldn't be a problem as he would pay me to drive to the store, and sure enough I was refunded at the store the amount I said it cost me,plus they gave me some compensation on top for the hassle.
That's just one of a few instances where John Lewis have been more than good.Maybe you are not being polite enough or something to not be getting a satisfactory resolution to whatever issues you are having.
