Are you sure they weren't the 8-pack? My partner and I have started taking these (seem to be doing us some good) so always looking for special offers on them.
Over the past few weeks various supermarkets have had offers on them - the 8-packs have regularly been 2 for £4, but strangely also the 12-pack for £2 (which is obviously better value).
The 12-pack for £1.75 is therefore an excellent deal - thank you OP - have some heat

Do these really make you feel better once you start taking them on a regular basis?

Well it may be just the 'placebo effect', but we definitely have felt generally a lot 'better' than we used to at this time of year. More energy, and none of the usual sniffles, coughs and colds.
