Prepare for non-stop excitement and pulse-pounding thrills in this “smart, sexy and action-packed” (Scott Mantz, Access Hollywood) action thriller. Colin Farrell stars as Douglas Quaid, a factory worker who visits Rekall, a revolutionary company that can turn his superspy fantasies into real memories. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, the line between fantasy and reality blurs as Quaid becomes a man on the run and the fate of his world hangs in the balance.

This remake is worth considerably less than £1... ...so cold due to inflated price. :stuck_out_tongue:

I didn't hate this, personally. I don't think it had a single original idea but it was reasonably slick and good-looking, if instantly forgettable. I'd say definitely worthy of a pound of a sci-fi buff's money for a Sunday afternoon popcorn kinda deal.

Hmmmm, well I thought it was a good film though I also thought the original was better and really didn't need remaking. A BluRay and only £1 make it a good deal IMHO and I'm not a fan of DVDs in general, given that streaming saves you cluttering your shelves with something you'll never watch again. If it was 3D then it'd be a no-brainer.

It's worth a quid. Decent remake and different to the original.

Wondering if it's the 4K mastered version. This was the first film to get a 4K master.

I like this film as a stand alone sci-fi film. Its more like the book in many ways. If this has the directors cut then watch that first as the theatrical was cut and the story takes a different path which doesn't really make sense.
Worth a pound of anyones money just for Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Biel!!!

Directors Cut adds a lot to the film. I must admit I really enjoyed the theatrical release and watched the Directors Cut the next day.

I love how they remade a film that was barely 20 years old at the time. And they say Hollywood is out of ideas!

At least the Italian Job put a different spin on it. Guff like this was doomed to fail before it was given a green light. Same with the Psycho remake.

it's not as good as the original, but it's a good enough sci-fi action film. On a side note...just seem John Wick..... omg that's brilliant

the original was 80s action film gold. it was funnny stupid and entertaining full of terrible effects and acting....like most 80s films. in many many ways the remake was better but it took itself too seriously and as a remake will only ever get compared to the original and not judged in its own right. better than the robocop remake. better than the evil dead remake. def worth a quid

I agree, if the whole setting and 'world' had been fleshed out a bit more it would have been better. The premise of The UFB and New Asia was quite an interesting backdrop.
