Have been buying for weeks now 1kg mini joint of pork leg - pre packed for £2.50. Picked one up the weekend.
Check country of origin first - Danish and UK good - Dutch and Polish bad.

Some great meat deals, like the Asda lamb.
Asda beef for £4 kg
Tesco and Morrison beef for £5 kg
Lidl lamb £3.79 kg
Morrison gammon - £3 kg
Asda shoulder pork £2 kg, leg £2.50 kg
etc, etc, etc.

Uk + Animal wlfare and support to our farming industry.
Danish + they have supplied uk for years. A Dane once told me they even send the best quality to the uk market rather than to their own home market. Probably better than uk pork.
Dutch and Poland are new players. Why buy them when you can have the quality above. :smiley:
