I wanted a cat flap that only opened for my two cats, could be programed to close at dusk and open at dawn, having decided on the SureFlap DualScan Microchip Cat Flap I was going to buy it from Amazon for £75:49, I then spotted the same cat flap on Ocado for the same price. With £20 off (VOU3419130) my first order I have ended up paying just over £60 for the cat flap and a fivers worth of groceries as I had to spend £80 to qualify. The £20 discount code will no doubt expire soon but will probably be offered again very soon, I'll probably not order anything from Ocado again soon, hopefully my lack of spending with them will generate some more offers to tempt me!
Please note this cat flap can be programmed to let certain cats in and out and not others, useful if you've got several cats and want to keep one in due to injury etc

Ocado don't deliver to my area. Gutted really good deal otherwise

so in reality the deal isn't a blinkin cat flap. its £20 off an £80 spend that is the deal because it could be on, say, tins of baked beans or pork pies or anything else they sell. otherwise the next deal will be some other random item with £20 of £80.

Would totally recommend these. Excellent bit of kit to prevent unwelcome intruders. No issues at all since installation 18 months ago. Don't forget to stock up on the batteries though! :innocent:

Use low self-discharge rechargeables in them and ignore the pathetic flashing light. Just recharge every six months.

Are you sure this has a timer? I was looking for the same thing when I got mine and could only find this one that had timer and microchip entry.
It is good, although my cat has figured out how to open when it's locked it if he really wants to.

I never let my cat out. I don't want her to get lost or run-over. I also don't want the vets bills for same. And I can't afford insurance.

Oh, and kitty was only just microchipped, I don't know which brand (I think there are two main ones in the uk) but I've had no issues.

I had one installed about a year ago for my previous cat (who is sadly no longer with us) and it's amazing! The little click of the lock going down also warns you that the cat is coming.
I am now trying to train my 4 month old kitten to use it, and 3 days in she's not grasped it. I know she's not the sharpest kitty about but the other cat 'got it' after about 2 manhandling sessions of pushing her through the hole
My current kitty is really not grasping it at all. But, to be fair, why walk through a catflap when you can get a human to open a door for you and have concierge service?! Maybe she's not so daft after all.

I have a similar catflap and it doesn't work for one of my cats, it appears that it is a faulty microchip in the cat.
It is possible to get RFID tags that fit on the cat's collar (available via Amazon) and can be programmed to the catflap. Obviously not an ideal solution if your cat has a habbit of losing collars, but a potential workaround.

I have the single scan version of this installed through a brick wall. Works great, although buying the tunnel extender and mounting adapters adds a far bit to the total cost.
Great deal by the way

Great idea, until you arrive home to see the dog running round the house with it stuck round it's neck.

Seems like a good deal and a great product so heat for that. Personally wouldn't have any cats in my house as can't stand the horrible little critters.
Flaps out :-)

This one doesn't have any dusk / dawn timer on like you say in your description, only the bigger pet door does that. See the comparison on their website: https://www.sureflap.com/en-us/pet-doors

I just bought one from Amazon in lightening sale last week. same price.
works for older cat but not the kitten with a new chip. considering re chipping. in the meantime set fully open for all. think it is good: easy to install, cats seem to use it more (more coming in and out than previous) so guess they like it too. but slightly smaller than previous so there is a gap in double glazed door which has a circular hole for cat flaps.
really liked idea of using a battery rather than plug which other microchip versions use. And is easy to set for multiple cats - when it works.

Haha, if you've had a regular cat flap and someone else's cat coming through it and weeing up your furniture you will understand the support for a microchip cat flap

One of the best gadgets I've ever bought. Ours is about 5 years old now and still going strong

How many times a day do you go through it like?
I have never seen so many people so happy over a flap in the door. I am adding heat just for the hysterical support.
This isn't the same one, the deal posted is for the DualScan one

JUST A WORD OF WARNING.
I was going to get this flap after a lot of research to eventually find it does not support some of the newer microchips (which my cat had).
Not sure if they have updated it yet, but it's worth sending them an EMAIL to make sure.

I got one of these amazing cat flaps and customer service is amazing. Cat flap wouldn't work in my door needed extended tunnel sent a new cat flap straight out. I didn't even have to return the other one its in my shed. No other cats come in house keeps everything out. Worth every penny.
