Just noticed this while checking the top sellers. Great game from what I've seen, haven't played it myself but may do so now.
There was a similar deal 8 months ago but thought I'd bring this new one to everyone's attention.

Definitively dire. You could not pay me to play this drivel. Okay, £10 an hour. Maximum eight hours.

So you're saying that we should let sleeping dogs lie?

What are you talking about? It's not a bad game.

Played the non definitive version and had a lot of fun. Hong Kong is believable in a way similar to how we're going nuts over The Division's rendering of NY city. The combat was a bugbear for me until I became like water and just waited for enemies to attack, at which point all you have to do is counter. After that I was looking for fights with as many enemies as possible, throwing them off rooftops and such just for fun. The driving is good but it would've been nice to have an in-car camera for better immersion. got about 20 or so hours out of it doing as much as I could but after that there was nothing left to do and I didn't go for the DLC.

It's criminal this game wasn't given a sequel (and no, that weird PC only spin off doesn't count)
Excellent game and a steal at £5. HEAT

This game is a sequel. It started development under the name True Crime : Hong Kong. There were two earlier True Crime games on the PS2 set in LA and New York. Activision didn't think it was worth releasing though and Square Enix bought the game (but not the rights to the True Crime name), renamed it, applied a few finishing touches and released it.
Also this is a pretty excellent GTA clone. It has nowhere near as much content as GTA but its very enjoyable for the 15 or so hours the storymode lasts for.

has this been any cheaper? I remember it was in the humble bundle but I didn't get it then.

Think it was in a bundle but you had to pay above $15 or something. Not sure if it was definitive or not.

Not my usual game but after playing it for 30mins I was hooked.
Good story even if it doesn't play out that well, not too savage to 100%, nice mechanics even if the camera can be awkward every now and again but neat missions without feeling lost in the world.
Bargain.

I had more fun with this than the recent GTA and Saints Row games, I wasn't expecting much either but it hooked me right in.

I would totally agree. I had fairly low expectations for this but I really enjoyed it. Hong Kong was such a well realised environment. A complete bargain at this price so heat from me.

Was put off by the PC specs needed of this game when it was released but it shouldn't be a problem with my current setup.
17GB for a game that is coming up to 4 years old is a bit of a surprise though

Damn Steam's region lock outs. I'm limited to only purchasing the Asia version (which actually is more expensive than this one, funnily enough)
