Noticed that the z5 compact in Coral had been lowered to £269.99, previously was just the black, although they are very low in stock now.

Water resistance related warranty is quite a scam I think. If you want to use it underwater, the so called warranty will not cover it. They will find simple ways to say you're lying and decline warranty claims. Third party warranties e. G. Cpw is even worse.

Yup, that's why they no longer say "water proof", more of water resistant.

It is waterproof but they no longer advertise it due to warranty abuse.

I know someone who ran it under a tap for 15min because it was 'dirty'
seemed shock that it failed!
but delighted when they got to change handsets after breaking it under warranty.....

I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of sarcastic replies like I did on the other Z Compact thread but a 720P screen on a mobile at this price point is taking the p***. /tin helmet placed on head/ :stuck_out_tongue:

720p is fine for this size - 1080p would detract from the phone as battery life would reduce without perceivable increase in image quality. From experience, premium feeling phones are delicate as ****. Drop them from your pocket and the screen or (utterly pointless glass backs) cracks costing £100+ to replace. Compared to my moto g which is made of cheap plastic and it is as sturdy as a rock, I've dropped it from trees and zip wires multiple times and even though it's got many minor dents around the frame, the screen is perfect and the backs cost about a quid to replace.

Cheap looking tat... played with it a bit in store and the body of it seriously feels like its made for a £50 phone not £400+ it was when released!

I bought one of the black ones from foniacs. I sent them a message and they confirmed a 2 year manufacturer warranty.
I then talked to Sony who told me that the 2 year warranty was not valid as they weren't an authorised reseller.
I've just forwarded this onto foniacs and will see what they say.

This phone gets so much hate on here but I love it.
Not a phablet, top camera, long battery life and expandable memory.
