I'm not convinced by your argument - if you're worried about the impact on the environment then spirit-based paint thinners and brush cleaners surely do more damage (to the water table specifically, harmful to aquatic life) compared with chucking away a paintbrush. Actually the handles are plastic so they can be recycled.

One useful reason to buy this would be to take an order over the £20 mark if you've bought something for maybe £19.99 which i suspect could have been the point of the post. Thank to the OP.
