Sorry if I sound a bit silly... But does 'select' mean that it's not the same size/spec game as the regular priced one? My boys have wanted this for ages but I didn't want to spend £40 on it... Will they be disappointed with this?

Exactly the same game. Just re-released with new packaging in a cheaper range.

Get Lego City, got to be one of the best games i have played, excellent humor, GTA for kids, its just brilliant you and your kids will love it.

Thank you for your help... That's the one I've just ordered, but I'm now really tempted to get the Super Mario/luigi one too - is it worth buying as well?? Or should I hold out for a price drop on the Mario Rio Olympics?? (Being very optimistic?!)

They're very different games... but for my money, I'd recommend the Super Mario Bros U + Super Luigi U package.

My youngest has been obsessed with Mario & sonic Olympics for years (so much so that we've bought the 2012 one 3 times because it was used so much). However, I'm not prepared to spend that much on a game so maybe as a consolation prize the super Mario one will do??

Ah, okay. Well, again, the games are very different but I'd hope that he should also enjoy Super Mario Bros U - if only for some variety! One word of warning, though - the other part of the package, Super Luigi U, is very much more challenging!

its a good game, personally i'm not a big fan of the new 2d marios, prefer the mario world/land stuff, but my boys love it.. and I don't think you will get a better price.

Thought we were getting Pikmin 3 and Mario 3D world as well

Nintendo Land, no need to buy Selects. You can get brand new original version from amazon now for the same price

Weird choice to release Nintendo Land than Mario 3D World. Although I'd assume SM3W is coming.

Nintendo Land is often a lot lot cheaper - been down to £5-6 for awhile even. is this one of the rare games that actually gets more expensive when the "cheap" version comes along? :smile:

Notice how Amazon don't have these listed for pre-order yet? They're probably trying to sell the non-select versions off at vastly inflated prices before these are released next month.

The postage would take it over to £20.

It would make sense to buy a small thing to make up £20.


My point is Nintendo Land Select version for £18 is not very good price, not much saving from the original. Whereas, the other 5 titles do have a much bigger price differences. If anyone need Nintendo Land, just go for it now, not worth wait 1 month for the Selects. If do not mind 2nd hand, you can get it 2nd hand today for around £10.

And if you only want brand new, you do not have Amazon prime, and the £2 price difference is important, then wait 1 month for the Selects. or wait for some seller discount the original version.

But that is more than Coolshops £17.95 in the main post.

I love CoolShop and bought a few things from them, but my bank sent me a new debit card because their website had been reported as fraudulent by other Barclays customers. I've never had a problem with orders or missing money but something to be wary of!

I can confirm, Cex don't have separate listings for Selects titles. They have A Link Between Worlds with Selects packaging for the exact same price :wink:

So,

1. If they do not reduce their price, someone could by the Mario + Luigi at £16.94 from shop4world, then sell to them for £19, and make a profit.

2. If they do reduce the price, it is good news for people want 2nd hand original as they are priced the same as 2nd hand Selects by CeX.
