The bad reviews are mostly from people who didn't read the description carefully and thought they were buying tea towels rather than kitchen cloths.

I have proper tea towels for drying up and paper kitchen roll for mopping spills. Do I really need these in my life? Voted hot, but only because I thought they were proper towels for the bath etc, not just tea towels.

Something fishy about these Royal towels and cloth products (one posted a little while back) a lot of the reviews seem to be from people who have been given the item free or discounted.

Yeah, thats Amazon Vine I think, although this looks like it's the company doing it. That said, these do look pretty decent.

Depends what you class as recent I suppose. But 144 of 152 reviews are 3 or above. Fair enough though.
