It's on at Richer Sounds for 384.99 with 6 years warranty (not on bulb of course) for VIP members (free membership)
I have the BenQ W1070, but when buying it was between that and the HD141X. Both are great projectors, and I would have gone for this if not for the great deal I got on the W1070 1 year and a half ago.
Enjoy

A Pringles lid. That's what I used when I had this projector last year.

Single chip DLP does have RBE yes
After nearly 2 years of using my projector I no longer notice it.
You can reduce RBE by doing the following: getting a neutral density "ND" filter lens and using it with your projector; getting a good screen - I'm using the Elitescreens 120" 1.1 gain screen and it's superb. RBE is minimal in my experience, and the low price more to get a home cinema experience more than outweighs something I rarely even notice (or can see when I'm really trying to see it).
YMMV - Some are more sensitive than others.

I've had this since black Friday with an old basic screen. No noticeable rainbow effect for me. must be lucky.
Can anyone recommend a cheap lens cap for this?
Thanks

Very good projector I have one. Can be quite noisy but if in Eco mode it's ok. Also quite a bit of rainbowing but the picture quality is much better than previous models

I also own one of these and the rainbow effect is visible but I only notice it when flicking my eyes from the screen to a device in my lap. I don't notice it during moving content on screen.

Good projector, went with the BenQ W1070+ instead but still checked one of these out prior to buying and was good picture for the price only went with the w1070+ as it had better short throw so get a bigger image 95" in my small room. The benq is DLP as well and can honestly say I've never noticed the rainbow effect and had mine 8 months now so must be my eyes, and its only used for gaming if that makes a difference.
Only draw back to projectors is if the bulb goes as there pricey to replace ( £100-150) but should last easy 2-3 years if used in eco and you will never get a 95" TV for any way close to £380 so its a no brain'er if your after the big screen entertainment

Can you just pop a USB with a movie into these and they will just play? Or would you need to connect to a TV? Also can you connect via Bluetooth to speakers on this?

No built in media player, so no you can't run movies directly off a USB stick. Plug in a Chromecast or Firestick and you're away.
No bluetooth on this one, so sound would be from an amp or you would have to route it via the 3.5mm cable back to a sound bar or amp again.

I've just ordered one of these, along with a ceiling mount.
Would this be OK to attach to a plasterboard celing with the mount? I see it's only 2.45 kg's so I was hoping this would be OK?

Should be, as long as you use the correct fixings.
Also if you're using a fixed screen, be mindful of the correct height to position it at. The top of the screen needs to be at a certain height relative to the projector/mount. Otheriwse you end up having to use keystone corrections which can degrade the picture quality.

If I were you I'd try and find at least one joist to screw in to. I wouldn't want plaster board holding up a £400 electrical item 2 metres above the floor.

Read that somewhere else and tried it but it didn't seem to fit :disappointed:
Might try again. Thx for the advice
