Excellent TV for a great price. Says refurbished but the TV is display model or customer returns.

Hi all just letting you know this is the same TV that I picked up in 48inch for 254 under the digihome brand. I'll provide a link if I can but it is exactly the same and is in no way a real Panasonic. Before I get a whole bunch of questions asking me to prove it, it was 299. And then we used codes.
Just wanted to let you know before some get scammed into thinking this is something amazing by believing it is a true Panasonic.
Just adding. It is a great TV the 4k stuff I watch is amazing and its USB ports 4 HDMI etc make it a good value buy. I can't fault the TV for the price I paid. I just wanted to let people know about the rebadging part as I think some people look down on lesser brands thinking they have something special in their 600 quid LG or Panasonic when really they have the same product. Believe me having an uncle who thinks he is it then telling him his loved expensive TV called homesense elsewhere and worth 400quid less then he paid is priceless.....ah the look on his face

That's the trouble when companies are allowed to stick other brand names on something they have made. Customers may not realise that they are still buying a cheap vestel product when it is been sold under another badge. Even if they were forced to put a peel off sticker on the product saying "made by Vestel and sold under **** brand" would help the end buyer in making an informed choice.

i have this TV its very good i doubt anyone would guess its a budget tv unless you told them, I like the panasonic badge, its a bit like cars. I drive a vw polo but i could have bought a skoda fabia cheaper, i dont tell people its really a seat ibiza or skoda fabia with a different shape.

That's not really a good analogy. There's no overt, blatant deception going on with the car situation. I mean, you get a VW and you know they're going to have falsified the emissions tests - we know where we stand. But with TV's it's a much more specialised and finer technology used. And people buy a Panasonic based entirely on their quality heritage - not to only find out via places like this site that it's made by some trashy company in Turkey that bashes them out for several companies.

I do see your point. I thinks its something that will be more and more common with electrical appliances in the future, anyway based on the price alone i think its good value and i have enjoyed mine without any issues i think if you spend upwards of £600 you will get a better tv but below this amount i wouldnt think there is much difference. it replaced a 5 year old toshibe flat screen which was twice the cost and its much better in every aspect.

The Panosonic TV has its good points and its bad points. I have bought this TV - not through refurb though - and you need to be careful when buying refurbs that they are from the actual supplier - to ensure quality work!
This TV has a few great points - It's a 4k HD tv, its smart, its 3D, the PRICE (You can get it at ao.com brand new for c360) and its a Panasonic!
The bad points with this TV are - Smart functionality is limited with no shop and lack of apps i.e. Amazon Prime - Universal controllers dont often work with this TV, the TV sound system does not effectively co-ordinate with a non panasonic sound bar and the support legs are at the end of the tv and not the middle so if you are not mounting the TV you need a pretty big TV stand

If certain models are Panasonic and others just have there badges then how is that not false advertising ? May Aswell stick a Mercedes emblem on a Ford Fiesta
