Needed a new set of these for work. Thought I'd give them a punt as the reviews are good. Excellent value for money and also comes with guides. Screwfix charging £50 and onwards for different 'professional' brands.

Dare I reccomend benditnow benders. Triple the price, but made in Sheffield. They will really last a lifetime and still pull perfect bends into retirement.
I wouldn't want to suffer silverline tools daily.

I squirt some wd40 on the guides before each bend. helps release them and makes it smoother. does the trick for the price. but if it was my.daily job I would buy a more expensive set.

I've still got mine although the 15mm one is stuck in a pipe in the loft. I couldn't shift it so fitted it still in the pipe. I replaced it with a second hand hilmor. It doesn't get much use since the price of copper has made plastic a more viable option :man:

Many people report good results with the Silverline pipe bender. Some have had problems that could be resolved with adjustment and lubrication. Some have had problems which are probably related to a lack of skill on the part of the user. A small number of the benders appear to have been badly made.
If you buy one of these and have problems, try lubrication and adjustment. If you are new to pipe bending, do a little research and practice. If you are convinced you have a badly made example, return it and try another.
I had used a spring pipe bender many times but never one of this design. I recently bought one of these and it was fine.
