Got one of these the last time (£46), seems to be decent and no problems at all.

I just went from a 500gb HDD to a 240gb HDD and the process was actually more difficult than I though.
Macrium, whilst quite good, can't seem to apportion the old drive space if you are moving to a smaller drive.
Windows has built in partitioning software but it wouldn't let it shrink my c drive enough.
So I eventually found a piece of free software called partition wizard, shrunk the c drive, then just used macrium to clone the disk.
But generally pretty pleased with the move, it's worth doing and laptop zips along now and is completely silent.

I don't think speeds are vastly different to this though, would you notice the difference?

You can always overshrink the partition too, then enlarge it on the Ssd. That partition wizard software is pretty good, i couldnt find any other free software http://www.partitionwizard.com

Free software to upgrade to an SSD (smaller > larger drive + larger > smaller drives)
Macrium Reflect Free
2.5 Inch USB 3.0 Enclosure (just an example)
Use of of these to help with the upgrade or to use the old 2.5" drive as an external one after the upgrade.

I wouldn't recommend the Trion 100 over the Sandisk SSD Plus. The Trion is very slow and is now end of line anyway with the Trion 150 already out.
