I got my set from Amazon a while ago. The version I have looks the same but the drill driver has a hammer action setting.
Still a very good price for this Makita kit. I have been really happy with these tools.

It's been about 10+ years since I bought my last Makita. Are they as good as they used to be or have they gone the way of Timberland/Karcher/Aga/Alpine Headunits etc...

This is a more than capable twin set for the average DIYer.
Should cope with most jobs around the home.
Drill is more a screwdriver and handy for pilot holes.
Impact is a very handy tool, I have this in a different brand, still 10.8v, and is my go to tool for most jobs in the home, power in these little machines is under rated.
I tested the 10.8 impact against my 18v brushless combi, the 18v drove a 6" screw about 3/4 home in an old fence post, the impact drove it all the way, did slow down admittedly on the final 1" or so, but it got there.
Well worth this price.
Worth looking for the twin set with the combi drill though, an even handier set to have around the home even although the 10.8v combi' limit is 5.5mm holes in aerated block it mortar lines, again worth the extra £15 or so if you can find stock.

HP330D is drill the model for anyone searching for the set which includes the combi-drill.
The impact driver is the same as the one listed on this set.

Didn't realise this was a 5 year old model. I've been watching the prices fluctuations on Amazon over the last few months hoping to drop onto a decent reduction. The model age has put me off.

Nice pack' pity the drill is only 10.8v though if it was 18v now that would have been a belter.

Not a pity it's only 10.8v when it's a Makita. These little drills are very good.

I use these all day everyday as a sparky and the impact is awesome, has had some serious abuse and dropped from about 4 meters and still going strong.
The drill I use for light steel metal work, panel building and trunking etc and its perfect providing you use sharp bits and a 1/4 inch mandrill for starrett cutters up to about 32mm holes.
The only issue could be the battery life depending on how often you use it, but you can buy these separate if you need an extra.
I LOVE this set for £100 it really is more powerful than you would expect.

More than enough oomph for most jobs around the house. Had mine for a couple of years (about £150 back then) and one of the best tools in my box.

These are great drills and impact drivers. Much lighter that most 18v drills, so ideal for kitchen fitting etc. I also have 18v LXT Makita tools - also great, but heaver. As usual, its horses for courses. In my opinion these arent as powerful or versatile as the 18v, but they are much easier for certain jobs. Wouldnt have them as my only drill set.
