logitech Z533 2.1 PC speakers, been looking to get these for a while but not seen them reduced anywhere (that I'd consider buying from) before now.
Normally retail for about 75 to 80
Here's the sales blurb (and yes you could use Chromecast audio with it) ...
Each speaker features a 2.5”, full-range speaker driver to deliver 60 W of sound, together creating impressive 120 W of sound for enhancing your music, movies or games. The front-facing subwoofer offers rich, dynamic bass that lets you feel every beat.
Controlling sound is easy thanks to the all-access control pod, which lets you control power, volume and bass. Additionally the pod features a 3.5 mm jack for connecting your smartphone, tablet or MP3 player or listening privately with your headphones.
A 3.5 mm jack input makes connecting your PC and games console quick and easy, while the RCA input makes the speakers compatible with your TV, DVD player and much more.

If actual sound quality is important to you then I wouldn't recommend these, I listened to a set this morning and they are awful. The sub may kick out a decent amount of bass for a small set but they actual speakers are terrible. If your interested in quality over quantity, the gigaworks T40 at £85 sound fantastic.

Heard only good things about the creative Gigaworks, they were simply way too big for the space I had (I've got a small corner desk). These fit nicely under my Dell monitor when it's at the top of its height range.
For the size of the speaker I think these sound pretty good, a little harsh at the top end perhaps but very clear. I certainly wouldn't say they were terrible.

well I just returned my Logitech Z200 that I bought a couple days ago for £16 on a lightning deal. had a £45 Currys gift card, these are far too good to not buy for only £15 on top of the gift card.
heat OP, cheers!
free delivery tomorrow too, not bad Currys.
edit: no longer available for home delivery, for me anyway

I like the controller, you have to rotate the dial and it will click to switch it on. It's very sensitive turning the volume up which is good because you can get the exact volume you want. Also there is a headphones port and and AUX port on the controller which is handy if you want to connect an ipod/phone when your computer is off.

Just collected mine tonight, I LOVE them.
I've been using the default speakers on my monitor for a few months and this is like heaven compared to that.

Oh God. I'm glad you made it through.
I can only imagine how bad using an inbuilt ~1w mono speaker must be like.

Amazon sell this set with a BT adaptor included for about £70 (weirdly cheaper than they sell the standalone set)

How's the control pod working out for you?
Do you have to switch on with the dial, or will they switch on when you start pumping sound into them?
Thx in advance

Brilliant! Saw these in white from the same retailer for £60 last week. Glad they put the black ones down to £60 too.
Can anyone comment on whether they wake on sensing an input? Would be great for the TV

These better than the old x210? Been looking at new ones as the volume wheel is dodgy and makes the sound crackle and stuff. There's some 5.1 logitechs for a tenner more on ebuyer, any help would be great

Depends what your after. Those cheap 5.1s are not going to be a patch on this for stereo sound
