These racing wheels are great the only problem I have is finding a seat etc. that also feels as much like a car as possible. Not sure it's possible without one of those stand things with seat built in

I have the playseat challenge after months of research and I couldn't be happier with it. The added bonus is that it just folds away with wheel and pedals still attached. It's well worth a punt although I notice they have increased in price since I bought one bizarrely

I bought when at current price when it was first reduced last year. Brilliant piece of kit but you will need to budget at least another £100 for a wheelstand as you WILL end up buying one :-).

I tried a similar stand, it was useless, never the right angle and rocked all over the place
Went for one of these in the end for £46. Much better long term

It has been done with some further suggestions to make things sturdier including reversing the top for better stability in the comments below.
I bought one of these http://wheelstandpro.com/ a couple of years ago. One of the best purchases i've ever made because it solved a real issue of how to race whilst sitting in front of the living room TV. Real sturdy as well so it won't slip or move when in use.

I use one of these badboys as a wheel stand - it works just fine for £7.99! You need a weight on the other side to balance the weight of the wheel - I just use two Argos catalogues.

Looks OK, but will no doubt move around a bit. It depends how serious you want to get with it and how much use it will get. I got the recent Thrustmaster T150 deal from Argos and have only used it a few times. If you will use it a lot, get a dedicated stand like the one lukeo44 posted

Don't bother, I considered it with my DFGT wheel as I already have one of those tables that I use as a laptop tray. It's much too unstable. I just built my own stand, much more stable and adjustable to suit the game you are playing.

Trust me it won't work. The force feedback can be strong and trying to so chicanes on this table will only result in the table toppling over.
