Stay far, far away of eglobalcentral guys. They're based in Hong Kong and the goods are imported. They do all sorts of shady things to avoid customs charges and when you get the package it doesn't even have any labels related to eglobalcentral or even a receipt. It took 3 months to get my last order from them and their customer support is literally non-existent. They lie about stock levels and do not contact you even if they know that dispatchments will be delayed.

Funilly enough they don't have the time to respond to customer queries through their ticket system but they have time to reply to almost every negative review on Trustpilot. Just scroll down and you'll see a **** of 1 star reviews from people who were either unable to contact eglobalcentral or didn't even receive their order.

The 32GB one looks good at Argos, a very reputable company and currently £10 voucher and 10% Quidco too. Works out about £30 more for double storage, UK seller and warranty. Worth it in the long run:

Wise move, I've opened a dispute with PayPal as they clearly don't give a **** about customer service. I ordered 16 days ago and they have failed to reply to the 3 tickets I logged asking when it would be sent. Whats more annoying is they are selling the same phone on eBay stating they have UK stock.

Just asked them about my order (16gb, ordered Saturday), and have been told that they're out of stock and the resupply won't be until after the Easter holidays 29th (and then another 6-8 days until delivery).

Ah. To cancel, or not to cancel...

To make your decision easier... I ordered on the 13th and they still haven't dispatched, they fobbed me off saying it would be in early this week but I'm still waiting.

It's extremely shoddy to take your money when they don't even have stock (despite what the website says), time to cancel.

Are there any differences in terms of hardware in UK and non UK models? (Like Samsung have the SD802 in their S7 in the Asian markets but Exynos in everywhere else).

What about warranty?

Mine was delivered today. Obvs not UK sourced but that's fine. 7.50pm for 2 gig of 4g data with calls and texts from ID mobile, £5 quidco. Cex offering 50 odd quid for my iphone4, and I was paying virgin 8 quid for my old sim only.

Happy chappy. Cheers OP.

Mine just turned up. All seems good so far. Its not a model for the UK, but I dont think thats an issue. They supply a adapter plug for the charger, but I would suggest getting a new plug or USB A to C cable.

So it came earleir than expected! Here are some pics: Album

Some things to note; it came packaged officially with the LG US 2-pin travel plug, and a UK 3-pin adapter was packaged separately beside the box inside the package. So if you do order from eglobalcentral, it's probably best to order yourself a standalone UK USB C plug or compatible cable.

For anyone worried, I just had a Nexus 6P delivered from them. It came from an address in Lancashire and there was no mention of VAT or duty, why would there be for a parcel travelling within UK?

Just checked their website again, yesterday the 32gb/black model said 'Limited Stock'.

Today it's on their front page as 'deal of the week' and it says 'in stock'? Bloody shysters.

I suspect they've had more orders than anticipated (thanks to HUKD) and they're waiting new stock, I wish they just say that.

I went on live chat with them on Monday just asking when it would ship, and they told me to allow two days for them to get stock of it and then ship it on - so them shipping it earlier today seems fairly spot on.

Then last night I (impatiently I'll admit) sent another message, via a ticket asking how long delivery takes from the date of delivery. I got a reply saying it had been dispatched a few hours previous (disptached at 2AM today, reply at 8AM).

I'm looking to upgrade from a Samsung S4. I've been hoping to get the LG G4 but I haven't gotten hold of one just yet. Is this a better phone?
bianco to tony863
13 Mar 16 1 #63
It's not better, just different.

No expandable memory, lower res screen, smaller screen (5.2" vs 5.5"), less ram.

It has a fingerprint sensor, better bluetooth spec, runs clean android with latest updates, better camera (based on all the comparisons I can find online), slightly smaller footprint.

There's a few other differences but personally I think I prefer this over the G4 but I'm sure many would disagree and many would agree. It's your money your choice, read reviews and make your own decision.

Ordered the old Nexus 5 with them and my wife ordered the old Nexus 6 with them. Both times no items arrived, a lot of issues with customer service. It was only for our credit card companies that we got our money back. I have had friends who have been OK with them, I would just be cautious and protect yourself using a credit card is all.

13 Mar 16 #53
That's not what the law says and many manufacturers will just tell you to contact the retailer you bought from.
It's only after 6 months that things can become a little problematic as you can be asked for proof you didn't cause the problem.
Even with a manufacturers warranty I usually deal with the retailer as they can replace the device straight away without me having to send it to some foreign address and then having to wait for the manufacturer to inspect/repair it or send me a refurbished device.
As someone has mentioned these are probably grey imports so the manufacturer may well refuse you any warranty.

Problem is I do understand but it's a comment where you are telling someone their opinion is wrong.

I have an LG washing machine purchased from Curry's warranty registered with LG directly.
I have a phone originally purchased from EE but I've had an issue and I contacted HTC directly and they fixed it.

How many people walk into Apple or Samsung stores when they bought the item elsewhere and get it fixed under warranty?

Are you honestly saying you would rather go via a middle man to have something repaired replaced? And any additional hassles associated?

Nice adult response please.

Ok thanks I understand, based on your experience you received the item but the customer service was poor. And i assumed it was a Nexus device regarding the warranty with Google.

Who bashed?
But ok, as you asked so nicely...
The phone arrived (Zenphone 2) and all seemed fine, then I noticed the memory card kept ejecting itself, tried another card and had the same problem, clearly an issue with the device. Then one morning noticed I had missed a call but hadn't heard it ring.
All sounds had stopped working, not just ringtones. Several reboots later and return to factory settings were all to no avail.
Contacted E-Global and it went on and on, backwards and forwards without any real solution. So I contacted the CC company to ask them to start proceedings for a full refund. As soon as that happened E-Global contacted me with the details to send it back, which I did and they said they were going to repair it. But eventually agreed to a refund. Without the back up of the CC company I think they would have just repaired it.
Why would my warranty have been with Google BTW?
