Back in stock for home delivery & collection at a few stores near me. Every time these have been posted I've missed out, as the stock goes every time.
Thankfully I've reserved a pack of warm white this time.
Not much else to say that hasn't been said before, the reviews speak for themselves & a 3 year warranty too.
Sorry but that's absolute nonsense. The cool white 8.7w brighten up my whole hallway....6ftx20ft

The wattage is the power consumption, not how bright the bulb is.
806 Lumens is about right for equivalence to a typical old-fashioned 60w incandescent as stated.
I bought some of these LAP bulbs 2 months ago, very happy with them, nice and bright.

Yes and hopefully they will last the duration. Not many people will get anywhere near 7,000hrs in 3 years let alone 15,000hrs.. Good deal...
Also check out the Asda dimmable GU10's listed on another thread which are excellent but can't yet vouch for their lifespan.

This deal should be 500+ by now...
£2 a bulb, for instant on, choice of colour, bright light, that saves electricity, and guaranteed to last 3 years. What is there not to like about this deal? HUKD full of incandescent Luddites??

I don't know where ppl that say these aren't bright are putting them, mine are a lot brighter than 60w bulbs that were replaced by them! I bought the cool white 4K ones

Here's the thing with all led's.
Cheap equals - Low grade emitters that are overdriven to produce the required lumens. This produces excessive heat and limited life.
Expensive equals - High grade more efficient emitters producing the required lumens for less heat. A led that lasts the specified hours.

You're complaining that the Cool White bulbs give off a light that is... cool white......So buy the warm white!
At the point any fails, I'll go to Screwfix and get a replacement..
And considering out of 103 people who reviewed, only 1 didn't recommend it. I doubt i'll be making any such trip.

Please check things before you post. It says in the title "warm white", AND that they have 3 year warranty. Jesus H Christ...

Ok, so you're blind? Because I own these, and they are not "candlelight". They are easily 75w equivalent.

Funny thing is one of my neighbours has LED lighting throughout the house using these screwfix LED bulbs.
The whole of the house looks like the inside of a freezer with all the Cool White bulbs. The light output is a horrible icy effect and he's already had several bulbs fail.... Complete false economy, you pay more for LEDs bulbs, but they fail to reach anywhere near there projected lifespan.
Being a expert in all things LED, a tip for you noobs: Pay extra and ensure you get ones with a 2-3 warrantee. e.g. Philips provide it on some of their range.

I got 3 5w GU10s for the kitchens, nice & bright, but 2 died within 2 months, 1 still survives.

Have been in my local PL a while. Only issue I have is the design of the globe-type version where the globe is not greater than a semi-sphere so little light is projected towards the bulb base - most noticeable when used in a table light. Such a trait may be beneficial for some applications though.

an exageration but in a white room it works well. Although I wouildn't go with anything under 13w

22 Mar 16#25
So you didn't bother to actually plug one in and try it then...
Because if you did you'd see its around a 75w incandescent. It's called LED.

I purchased a box of Cool White from Screwfix last week - as the Warm White were oos
I had to order Warm White for c&c - and return the Cool White as they were much too bright for a "home" environment
The Warm White are excellent and just above the 60W brightness. (I have both in the same "home" location)

Only warm white-but 800 lumens good for small spaces only; not enough for living room or even bedroom, unless very small one.

You need to try them - I'm running the cool version all over the house, they are not particular white or blue and actually look more natural to me than the warm versions, especially in a coloured shade.
One of the rooms is 5 by 4m and a single lamp lights it up well!

I returned mine from the last time they were on offer. One died really fast and the light was poor.

My local Screwfix didn't have the warm ones in stock so went with these and I can say they are extremely bright, so much so that they hurt my eyes, would not recommend them for for indoor lighting at night unless you want daylight 24x7.
The wattage is the power consumption, not how bright the bulb is.

I got some cool white a while back, but always missed the warm. I'd say the cool aren't far off a standard 100w IMO. But that's beside the point, they are miles better than CFLs with the long warm up & dimming with age.
