It's metal.
And I can confirm like others, that it gets hot and also mine failed after 2 months, never managed to return it as Integral were such a pain to deal with.

I have a 32GB version that I use for Xbox360. I can't say I have had any heat issues, but I wouldn't know as it's plugged and left in.
I bought this 128GB version from Amazon earlier this month and it was DOA. I sent it back and still waiting for a replacement. I hope it's not a dodgy product/batch, I'd hate to trust 128GB of data on it if so, but this thread makes me thing it might be...

I have 'burnt' out about 4 USBs with the overheating issue. Granted they have been ones I have had for a while but they seem to overheat and then become unrecognised. So I have recently purchase a new Kingston one and all is okay for the moment.

The Samsung 128GB flash drive is £24.99 on amazon. Too many sold, it is now on pre-order, Usually dispatched within 1 - 3 weeks.
Do not know which one is faster. But I like Samsung more when comes to memory.

The Samsung gets my vote, I ordered one at £23.99 a few days ago, when out of stock, and it arrived today. Integral and PNY are the only flash drives I have ever had fail.
