Compatibility
The mCube Slim will work with 95 watt notebooks and netbooks but will not work with most gaming laptops (or high-performance mobile workstations) such as the Alienware m17x because of the power-hungry hardware. It’s also not compatible with Apple notebooks.

What is the point of this may I ask? A power bank for a laptop?

It charges all sorts of things including mobile phones and tablets. Google for more details. Just bought two for holidays. Thanks. Heat added.

Unless you plan on using it with a laptop a 5 port charger would be better.
Compatibility and Charge Tests
To reach our results, we drained the battery and then charged the device(s) using the (1) standard adapter/charger that came in the packaging of the notebook and (2) the mCude Slim 95. Keep in mind that the mCube Slim will work with 95 watt notebooks and netbooks but will not work with most gaming laptops (or high-performance mobile workstations) such as the Alienware m17x because of the power-hungry hardware. It’s also not compatible with Apple notebooks.

little bit confused myself, from above review
Pros:
Charges tons of portable devices (all-in-one)
Very compact
Can charge some devices faster
Free tip program
Cons:
Doesn’t work with Apple notebooks
Reached 130 degrees F while charging notebook
so many devices great... but thats via usb... surely you are only really going to be carrying one laptop so its saving you one usb adapter?
unless they are assumingthat people are sharing the thing out due to the other tips?

Oh nice! For those wondering about the benefits I can speak from experience on my 90W original laptop charger for a clevo laptop vs an aftermarket 90W one with a USB port. Not this one unfortunately but something similar.
Basically it is just a laptop charger but I found when my laptop approached 90W draw (45W quad core, 45W GPU, charging the battery all at once) the original charger went supernova hot and the voltage started to droop causing the laptop to shut down (safety measure). The replacement was capable of more power (105W peak) so didn't suffer the same problem, and a USB port is useful if for instance you want to take one charger to cover both your laptop and phone. The charger can charge your phone while the laptop is off and doesn't eat a USB port from the laptop so depending on your situation it might be useful. I was travelling a lot and didn't want to add weight/bulk with a laptop charger and one additional USB charger (UK plugs eat more space than you'd think).
