Not the cheapest it's ever been, but not bad since there is no lightning deal quantity and time restriction. Probably slightly cheaper at Chinese sellers, but I think at this price it's not bad with Amazon warranty.
- Deal ends 30th April.

one gets updated and is a flagship phone with customer support, the other isn't.

I cannot speak for the Honor 5x, I know little about it, however I can speak of the Nexus 5x and perhaps give some more info about that phone. On a number of different threads I've been warning people off the Nexus 5x. Since purchase it has been laggy and problematic. A huge frustration. I've not had any issue with battery, and find it the same as any other smart phone, but the lag made it feel underpowered and overwhelmed by today's expectations. Such a disappointment given how much I loved my old Nexus 4. Anyway, a few weeks ago Google announced they were releasing a patch in the march security update, and it contained fixes aimed at the Nexus 5x problems. I got this patch a couple of days ago and I can say it has resolved all my issues with the phone. It is almost like I purchased a new phone. The lag is gone, the camera doesn't crash the phone anymore, and works brilliantly, finally, and it feels slick, fast and good. At last! This isn't saying you should buy a Nexus 5x over this device on offer, but knowing that the reported issues with the Nexus 5x appear to be fully solved (it has only been a few days bear in mind), it might inform your choice.

every phone ive ordered from amazon has gone boobs up within 3 months, either not in stock or even sold any more too, but they have offered me the money that was paid back, shame there's never a similar phone with the same specs for the price paid though, so i always find myself needing to add 20-30£ each time.. Savvy business plan by amazon?

I ordered the 5x earlier but thanks anyway  good to know!
near identical specs apart from fingerprint sensor and dual sim on the honor 5x.
I have a smart ultra 6 which is great but is a bit of a drab design so the metal finish might make the honor a bit more premium. I haven't seen on up close though

The Honor 5x doesn't have NFC but has a fingerprint sensor whereas the Smart Ultra 6 has NFC but no fingerprint sensor.

Not an equal. Nice device for the money, and arguably better VFM, but performance wise not a touch on a Note 4.

Never in a million years, Note 4 has flagship spec's and this is a mid range phone. You should try looking at the spec sheet SD 805 vs SD 616 chipset. Note 4 still a beast of a phone even tho it came out late 2014.

The Nexus 5X is not a flagship device. The 6P is, but not the 5X that has many performance and battery issues.
For the price, the Honor 5X is a good phone, the fingerprint scanner works really well. It does stutter a little when multiple apps are open. The display is good, slightly better than the Smart Ultra 6, but it does cost more. Design wise, the Honor 5X is nicer, but the Smart Ultra 6 wins out because of its fantastic price. I'm currently using the Honor 5X, and the Smart Ultra 6 was my old phone.

I've found my Honor 5X battery lasts better than my partners Note 4...but, that could be how she's set it up.
