If you are in Southampton and a large family of 5 looking to get away for a week in the school holidays then check out this week long holiday to Majorca. You will be staying at the Apartmentos Monac Beach in Cala Millor just 100 metres to the beach. Dates of the holiday are Sunday 28 August and returning 4 September. Price is based on 2A and 3C in a two bedroom balcony apartment. You will need to pay extra if you intend to take hold luggage, I've no idea how much luggage a family of 5 need for a week away and if they can cope on hand luggage alone.

For 2 adults and 1 child go for this hotel in Cala Bona as it is cheaper otherwise you are paying the same price for that hotel in the deal for just 1 child or 3 children so this one below is better.

For six, book on Travelrepublic putting in 2 adults and 4 children and it gives the same apartment..... This doesn't show up on Alpharooms for 2 adults and 4 children.

You will need to enter the ages for the flights and hotel but I'm guessing that the 17 yr old will certainly be an adult.

Yes I've used Alpharooms before and Volotea is like Spain's low cost airline kind of similar to Easyjet or Ryanair so a budget airline. Just make sure you follow rules about luggage, printing boarding pass etc like you would with Ryanair or Easyjet and you should have no problems.

Read a lot of bad reviews about Volotea, hope they've improved!
