Excellent price for a good quality branded carbon road bike.
The 2015 Forme Axe Edge Sport 2.0 LE expertly combines performance with a perfectly executed, supportive geometry.
The LDC high modulus carbon frame, which forms the heart of this bike, has been proudly designed in Derbyshire to create a bike brilliantly suited to dealing with every challenge the British road can put under your wheels. A combination of vibration absorption and power output ensures an exhilarating, and comfortable, ride. The stays are designed to restrict road noise getting to the rider from the tarmac's surface, which will keep you pedaling for longer over distances; whilst the oversized BB30 bottom bracket shell takes care of maximising your power output to the rear wheel. Add a carbon fork with oversized steerer and you have a sharp handling, high end ride that performs well beyond it's price tag.
Shimano Sora keeps 18 speed gear selection ticking like clockwork. An updated shifter set, featuring tension release button on the brake lever, offers full gear selection from the drop position on the handlebars - meaning you have full gear capability on descents, sprints, and hard cornering.
To top all of this off, the Forme Axe Edge is completed with KT hubbed wheels and a tidy, in-house finishing kit. It strikes the right balance between all-day comfort and a position that generates personal bests, for the money you can’t go far wrong.
Smooth Shimano Sora 3500 Shifting
LDC high modulus carbon frame and fork
Compact FSA chainset for climbing efforts and speed.
It says 10% reward points for bikes over £400. Does that mean you get £50 to spend after purchasing this? If so it makes it an even bigger bargain. 3% TCB aswell.

It says for 2016 bikes, unfortunately this is a 2015 bike.

Does anyone know what "compact" means in relation to this bike? I was looking at the Defy 3 and the "compact" version of that is much cheaper? Is it just a more 'racy' frame?

Just means a compact crankset. 50/34 front chainrings rather than 52/39. Better for beginners and people living in hilly areas

A balance between a triple and a double.

It means the front gears ( chain rings ) are slightly smaller than a standard road race bike. Better for everyday use unless you like pushing big gears

It refers to the chain rings on the crank. It will end 2 rings, a triple with have 3

Making a big sacrifice on components to get a carbon frame. Those wheels are horrible. The Evans Pinnacle bikes are better value IMO.

For around £500. Which do you have in mind?

I've got a cheap Ventura CP50 similar to this. Sora groupset and 8.8kg. Perfectly good groupset if you set things up properly, just get another cassette to match your terrain sometimes.
I've got close to getting a couple of Strava KOMs on some pretty heavily used sections so it's still more about your legs than your bike IMO. I'm also a cheapass so I can't resist stuff like this. I have a garage full of sub £500 bikes rather than one or two high end ones!

What's your opinion on that Peloton version with the carbon fork, rev

It's a difficult one. I personally don't like the colour scheme on the Tenet 3 so out of the Forme and the Peloton. Probably the Peloton unless it's a triple

Nice price for a carbon frame, but why put Sora groupset on it?

Keep the cost down probably. SRAM Apex would have been great.

What do you mean, Triple?

Would you go with the Peloton or Saracen tenet then dude

Triple chainrings on the crank. I prefer a compact.
The Peloton. I don't like the paint work on the Tenet 3.
