If they stone people for being illiterate and ignorant, then yes, you're pretty much guaranteed to get it.

I've noticed a trend. Budget no frills airlines that take you to to far flung places for cheap fares get a slating yet when the same people travel with UK/Irish based no frills airlines that charge you extra for breathing, its quite acceptable.
Pay the extra otherwise!

1. Probably a one off incident.
2. No big deal.
3. See 1? Emirates Business Class customers probably lose their stuff too sometimes.
Not convinced otherwise. Honestly to me your comments are typical of a TripAdvisor review that I would find completely irrelevant, sorry. It is clear that you feel strongly aggrieved by their service but it just comes across that you are used to a lot better and you had some one-off incidents. I've flown with Thomson Dreamliner, Virgin America, Emirates (great operators) and then Monarch, United which aren't so great. I've never considered the service to be "bad". There is a clear difference in service but you get what you pay for. I don't believe any travel operator would explicitly hire rude people and people in general try to be nice and offer a good customer service. The staff probably don't have the choreography and military like training of Emirates staff, but I can deal with that.
If this is indirect though, then THAT would be a perfectly good reason to pay an extra £100 to go with Emirates (best operator ever!). 6.5hrs-7.5hrs flights to Dubai, for around £330 or less, or no deal.

Could you please more detailed? Why was it so horrible?
Be careful there is a very long layover in Turkey on some of the flights. Direct flights can be had for £320-350 ish depending on dates.

Flew with them to Bahrain. Cheap as chips so obv service and comfort reduced. However I found it perfectly reasonable. Would deffo use them again if the price was right.

I just put in any London to any Dubai on 3rd to 8th of may and got £221 return with UIA (Ukraine's Airline) with a short stop in Kiev each way. And Turkish airways the same for £230 but stopping in Istanbul. Some bargains from other airlines if Pegasus aren't quoting you happy on the days you need. Hot OP

If you already have £200+ to book it and I assume you dont go alone plus spending money ,maybe visa(s) then £100 is nothing to compare to it.

Think I'll stick with the main carriers after the fly dubai incident in Russia today. Lots of budget airlines springing up with no proven record. It is statically proven if you fly with a crap airline, at night in poor weather conditions your chances of something going wrong increases. obviously flying on any any aircraft has risk but for me I'd rather pay a little more and go with main carriers who have more stringent entry requirements (flying hours) and continuous Sim training etc.

fair point but when you pay extra for emirates you can upgrade to a better foot room seat for extra £50 then your tight not to upgrade then you can go and say forget leg room go fisrt class for £100 more then v.i.p list goes on hotel upgrades travel insurance upgrade companies etc etc

There is always a bang for buck sweet spot, for anything. Upgrades to business class flights etc don't compare to this. £200 pegasus with connections vs £300 emirates direct flights is an easy decision pay the extra £100 every time. If you're on a budget bear in mind, as glamorous as "Dubai" seems, I would actually consider it a cheap holiday. There are hotels in the Al Barsha district, near mall of the emirates which cost under £50 per night and they have amazing tripadvisor reviews. Right next to the metro station for easy transport, loads of food courts at the mall of emirates. I spent a lot of my time in Dubai window shopping in the malls, going to the beach, looking at the awesome skyscrapers and eating amazing meals around the burj khalifa lake - the restaurants are mega cheap, if it is a £30 meal in UK it's £20 in Dubai. A £6 KFC box meal is £4. A £10 taxi is something crazy like £3. Awesome cheap place to holiday. The extra £100 for a good flight operator to and from is the icing on the cake.

I took a Flybe flight recently. Was allowed hand luggage & that was it.
No refreshments. No water. Nothing. You had to pay for these 'extras'. Not a problem. I had no intention of paying £2.50 for a 250ml bottle of Pepsi!
Just as we were about to take off, one of the Air Stewards said' Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen I am [insert his name here] & I'll be here for your safety & comfort, but mostly for safety'
Thats a no frills flight in the UK. And it wasn't even bloody cheap!
Trust me those whinging about the flights in this deal are on a different level to what we are expected to live with in the UK!
