Got the version with the book/soundtrack for £23 not long ago.
Gotta say, I'm really disappointed with the game.

They've cancelled my order five days after I placed it without even an email explaining why. Dispatch takes forever, same goes for delivery (if your order actually goes ahead that is).

It should be so much better. It is FAR too similar to Fallout 3, which isn't good enough for a game release nearly 8 years later.
Many of the problems remain: the voice acting and character models are still terrible, the dialogue options are too restrictive and unnatural (and barely affect outcomes anyway), the map and inventory management is EXACTLY the same and horribly clunky, the story is very very similar, the quest structure is unchanged, the combat is pretty much identical, the graphics are just OK and not improved nearly enough.
If they had released this in 2008 it would have been absolutely incredible. But they didn't. This is Fallout 3.2 (not even 3.5; it's not different enough to earn that 0.5).

It's been OK for me, occasional stutter during busy times but hasn't bothered me. Though I stopped playing the other day about 10h in due to chronic, overwhelming boredom and deja vu so can't comment on later game. What has bothered me is the terrible draw distance, pop-in and generally manky textures (and they don't have the excuse of lush sceneries because everything is a drab shade of grey/brown with very little window dressing).

Such an awful game. Thankfully they released it about 6 months after announcing it as if i had been hyped for Fallout 4 for years i would have been fuming. I will be avoiding all of their games from now on.

Good deal. I got the version a few weeks ago with the nice Coffee Table book. Ok the graphics aren't up to snuff but sometimes it looks really nice when the weather changes, storms, sunsets, sunrises etc. The lighting is a lot better. The models and textures are better than F3 but they could be much better.
However you missed the point.. The game is pretty immersive and you can get lost in it. There is also base building which is a nice touch. The crafting is better. Gunplay is better. There is actually a lot more colour and detail in the world than Fallout 3 (which I didn't like. Worst end ever). Watch some of the later missions on YouTube they look so cool.

What do you mean I "missed the point"? What point exactly? I played the game long enough to realise that it wasn't good enough, or at least wasn't for me.
I know the game can be immersive, I played and loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I didn't want to play Fallout 3 again, which it felt like I was doing and it's hard to get lost in the same game twice.
I said that the graphics are OK but not improved nearly enough, which I think is fair criticism 8 years after Fallout 3. The base building feels tacked on, as well as being dull. I get that some people are into that kind of thing - not me. The gunplay is better? I wholeheartedly disagree - it is exactly the same! Guns behave in the same way, VATS is unchanged, enemies react to being shot in exactly the same way (i.e. they don't).
And again as I said, if I had never played a Fallout game it would probably feel awesome. Equally if this had been released in 2008 (which judging by the technical features it probably could've been) it probably would've been the best game ever. But as someone who's spent hundreds of hours playing Fallout 3 + New Vegas, it's not fresh enough and it's not been improved nearly enough. Which is a terrible shame.
