Discounted from £34.99 per month listed until 14/04/2016. Just upgraded my sim only contract to this over the phone so quite a good deal compared to EE's other SIM only contracts at present.
Edit for more info and clarification:
This is a Mobile SIM for 12 months and an 'EE Extra' plan so you get Unlimited Minutes/Texts along with the 16GB data and anything included with the Extra plan (double speed, use minutes/texts in EU etc.)
TopCashback now £52.50.

I just phoned them up and explained and they added a £15 credit to my account for the mix up it was because the discounts were added after the bill was generated so we're not applied but I did have to make sure they applied the discount when I first signed up otherwise this would happen every month.

I placed my order on the 13th April, received email order confirmation shortly after. Then received the "..we're processing it at present.." SMS on the 15th, and nothing since. Call to EE this evening and I was told my order hadn't progressed past the credit check (which had passed). Apparently there is a glitch on their system with the automated order fulfillment system. So the lady manually pushed the order through, confirming that the first bill will be shown as £34.99 with two discounts at £5 and £10 applied to bring the total to £19.99. She also said my estimated bill date would be 25/05/2016, so I guess this would be from activation.

How long has it taken for sims to arrive?
Do they also activate the account from the day your order or the day you insert and activate the sim?
Im thinking if it takes nearly a week to arrive and they activate from the order date then your loosing a weeks worth of rental and so should be due a refund.

Unfortunately, the network with the largest customer base.
I was told my bill has been sorted but can't see any loyalty discounts yet so we will see. I'll use it as leverage if it's not corrected when the bill is due.
My number port was a breeze though so thumbs up there. Currently away in Scarborough so can't really comment on service yet but I've not seen a full strength signal from when it transferred at Leeds all the way here (I'm travelling).

I now kinda wish I had stayed with 3.
I did think that porting your number was an easy process?!
However, my text messages don't arrive, I cant receive phone calls. But I can make calls and send text messages. They have "escalated" the issue
The bill was wrong - see my earlier comment and was supposedly fixed with "loyalty" credits that equate to £14.00 (should be £15.00).
What kind of network are they running?

This quite simply shouldn't need to happen. New EE customer moving from a competitor onto a plan purchased directly through their website (to avoid hassle of third party involvement!) and it's not priced correctly!?

Anyone got an exact link for Topcashback as i can only see the £19.99 one at £36.75 cashback
No idea what YMMV Is lol. I get around 20+mbits at home off peak which is 20x faster than my home bb (East London tower Hamlets). Working in central London speeds are slower but calls are fine. The selling point for me was their tethering which I used for big downloads when in a hurry as my home bb peaks at 1.3mbits.
Their network is great and is only getting better, unlike their pricing. Their customers service always do a very hard sale over the phone, getting my PAC took me 25mins as they kept offering me deals already on their site. Was offered their repackaged One Plan with 32gb tether but that wasn't good enough for 20£ .
It's now between this deal at around 17ish£ after cash back or the iD deal for 12.50

- for those saying you can't tether on 3 payg I have been for a while no bother (Samsung phone)

You most likely wouldn't have received the cashback anyway. If I remember correctly, in the terms it mentions about cashback won't be paid if a discount code is used, including corporate etc. The terms may have changed since I last checked, but that was the case when I last remember.
This seems to be what it shows on quidco, so would imagine it would be the same case with tcb:

Are you getting that from the page below on TCB mate? If you get the cashback might have to get people to hammer the like button on your post to show significant savings over the original deal. TCB SIMO EE
Still not sure about this. Hardly use my phone, only use it for internet/streaming/tethering and spending £240 on it a year would be eye watering for me. Used to be one of the OVIVO crew. I'm from Yorkshire, my dad is Scottish. So am genetically tight with money. I cant help it.

Apparently it is only available online now. I know you used to be able to get the discount in store. It should be available via the NHS discount website which you should be able to Google. You should then be able to access the discount and get a unique discount code which you can enter on the ee website and obtain the discount. If that doesn't work, contact your workplace or the relative or friend who works for the NHS which then can check with them to then access the discount. If you don't work for the NHS or similar, but the company that you work for has a deal, check with your company about it and hopefully they should be able to send you in the right direction. Hope this helps.
However, why do these phone companies have to do a credit check?
This is only £16.49 a month and i bet you if you dont pay they will cut you off, so why the credit check, they are not potentially losing anything other than a sim card?

£16.49

I don't read your mail.
"Thanks for your order. We're processing it at present and will update you soon"
Well that helps a lot lol!
To be fair they can take they're time as i have another 3 weeks of pac to try and use up before activiating the sim.
Received my first bill today through the post - my plan is set at £34.99 - currently on the phone with them...
EDIT: Sorted - technical glitch :smirk:
Do they also activate the account from the day your order or the day you insert and activate the sim?
Im thinking if it takes nearly a week to arrive and they activate from the order date then your loosing a weeks worth of rental and so should be due a refund.
It isn't like it's just a few either, so many people having the same issue which should set alarm bells ringing.
I hope their network service is better than their customer service.
Ordered 31/03
Dispatch confirmation email 03/04
Received SIM 06/04
Not speedy I know
When did you sign up and get the email confirmation? I ordered last Thursday. I phoned on Saturday as I hadn't had an email. guy sent one there and then but haven't heard anything else. Did you get a text to say SIM had been dispatched?
They have had to manually apply a discount to ensure I only pay £19.99. Looks like this has been messed up by them. Anyone else signed up for this checked their first bill?
The term "Robbing shoots" comes to mind.
I received the SIM today, registered it and signed up for a online account where you can check your first bill.
The price plan on the first bill stated £34.99 with no reduction.
I am on the phone to customer services.
Unlimited mins
Unlimited text
30GB data (which can be tethered)
£20 a month
Seems a great offer, the most GB I have done over the past 12 months is 22GB one month and that was a lot of usage and streaming etc.
£10 quidco too so would be even better.
Don't be rude to them or too persistent.
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ee-sim-only-contracts/
Their network is great and is only getting better, unlike their pricing. Their customers service always do a very hard sale over the phone, getting my PAC took me 25mins as they kept offering me deals already on their site. Was offered their repackaged One Plan with 32gb tether but that wasn't good enough for 20£ .
It's now between this deal at around 17ish£ after cash back or the iD deal for 12.50
Customer service wise, I have no idea. Must say EE have been pretty good to me though. They gave me 20gb, unlimited calls and text for £18 a month
500 minutes + 5000 texts + 6GB data = £12.50 per month rolling.
Plus double speed 4G. I think I'll be happy. Just a shame about the data abroad, loved Three for that!
Looking at this offer seems to be best out, especially with possible cashback.
request PAC code.
then follow this: https://ee.co.uk/help/getting-started/joining-ee/keeping-your-number
I switched onto this offer and then queried the discount with billing, they checked my account and told me it was a 12 month loyalty discount that would revert to £34.99 after 12 months
After a few more phone calls sales let me know that when they set this deal up they use a discount that does not expire.
After more calls finally got swapped to the discount that doesn't expire, and have had a note left on account confirming I can stay on this as long as I want.
Anybody manage to get the NHS discount on top?
- TCB has been awarded at £70.70 but is pending.
- I whatsapped this £19.99 link to a friend today who used an ee phone. The link for them opened @ the c£16.49 some ppl have mentioned if they took this as a 2nd contract
- for those saying you can't tether on 3 payg I have been for a while no bother (Samsung phone)
- also worth considering if you are short on data is a vodafone payg sim and a £10 payg. I think this ends soon tho. You currently get a free 50gb of data and again I've been using this for tethering tablets without any issues.
Might be tempted to go for Vodafone if can tether... and pray to god EE do another 100GB promotion. I hardly use my phone so unlimited texts and calls are useless for me.
I was using a number I didn't care about mind you so if they had booted me off I wouldn't have cared.

This looks a good deal if i can get 16 meg for £16.49

Can I ever go over my data?
Don’t worry, you can’t go over your data allowance, we’ll text you when you’ve used 80% and then again when it runs out - there are no hidden charges with EE.
Also said a copy of the order information would be sent through by email. It hasn't.
This seems to be what it shows on quidco, so would imagine it would be the same case with tcb:
Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discounts
