Will look flashy in front of my clients :) I've looked on ebay and they go for nearer £600. Not brought from MCS before so don't know if they are any good??

i7 is still a high end laptop CPU; especially the 45. I am running a quad core 2.2 i7 of a much earlier generation and it blazes through laptop tasks.
16GB of RAM is perfect for multitasking especially users with 10+ tabs open while running media tasks and/or doing other activities like presentations.
Windows 10 is great. Stop bitching.
Touchscreen; fair point it might not be amazing but no one is using a 17 inch laptop as a tablet.
GT 750M is perfectly fine for running most games at a decent setting.
The only fail here is that you have considered yourself the ideal customer of this laptop and decided it's crap.
The laptop is not aimed at you. Not everything is about you.
I would get you a crossbow but you would claim it's not this years latest crossbow with hyper-threading bolt technology.

Please articulate your concerns in a manner less like a paranoid conspiracy addled teenager.
It's a great OS.

add the cost of a new battery on top of that...

Isn't this more of a desktop that you can put in a drawer when not in use and as such the battery isn't a big deal?

Good laptop, but cpu is old hat now and you can get later tech for a similar price

Its a good price but I would warn you that I was always a dell fan until I got this one. The touch pad is pretty much unusable. You will need a mouse to prevent going mad. Also mine is the touchscreen version which lost its touch screen functionality when I upgraded to windows 10. Microsoft say talk to dell after lots of useful suggestions like clean the screen. Dell say talk to microsoft. I am mustering up the energy to go back to windows 8.

If you're going to link to a deal which is not new, it would be best to say (in this case, it's refurbished by MCS).
LPT: Never trust a company with a significant amount of money if they look dodgy. Excluding VAT from prices when not selling specifically to business customers? Dodgy, illegal, and designed to be deceptive. Avoid.

Have put refurbished in the title I have done some research and they seem legit and have had some deals on here before
As for the VAT I think this covers the reason why its not got the VAT isn't shown. They say they supply businesses and supply the trade. http://mcscom.co.uk/about-us/

bought Dell 7737 and the only difference from this one was that ive got 8gb RAM model. have it from mcs and could say they are proper company. my Dell looks like new, battery lasts still 5 hours and I've got it within 2 days from ordering. the charger of laptop was new.

Not a high end CPU
16GB RAM - Useless unless you have a workload that can use it - Useless for gaming.
GT 750M - Plays games averagely for people that want to pay too much for the pleasure of gaming averagely
Touchscreen - Absolutely useless
Windows 10 Home - Definitely guaranteed not to have any bugs or be crap ever.
If this was £422 I'd drop kick it in the canal, at this price give me a crossbow and 10 cans of special brew.

It's also heavier than a block of cement. 3.3kg without PSU is ridiculous.
