Asda Larkhall have the 600ml cans of Carplan De-Icer reduced to 20p. had loads left on the shelf not sure if its national but worth picking up some for next winter.

Never seen the point in scraping and using this stuff.
It only takes less than 10 mins to jump in the car with the engine running and blowers on full to defrost the front, size and rear windows fully (even quicker if you have a car with heated front windscreen).
Also gives you a chance to be in slightly less freezing conditions and catch up on EMAILS/paperwork/UK Hot Deals whilst you are waiting. :smile:
Different matter with snow as I brush the whole car down (roof included).

Thanks for the advice I never thought of that. Never new I could scrape the ice off. I thought i needed a can of special De-Icer. Wow cant wait for next winter to give it a try. Cheers. And the start up the engine idea my goodness who would ever of thought of that. I always have 10 minutes to spare when i'm heading to work. You are a legend.

Just set the alarm a few mins earlier or do something in the car whilst you are waiting that you would have done in the house before leaving.
It's not like I've got all the time in the world in the morning with work and kids, but somehow manage it.
