i5, 4GB, non-FHD, 1TB SSHD, on-board graphic card, consumer laptop, why is it £400?

You normally get this specs £300 for consumer laptop, £330 for business laptop.

Over-priced by £100.

Yes, i5-5200u is max 15w, A10-8700p is max 35w. Battery on the A10 only last 3 hours. Trade off for stronger CPU and GPU.

If you prefer i5-5200u, you could go for Probook 450 G2 at £330. Which is why £400 for such a consumer laptop is simply overpriced.

Your doubt was answered 1 year ago when HP trade-up first come out. HP was contacted to make clear of the point.

Individual end users can claim as I already told you.

There are many people here claimed including me.

If you are really interested in this topic, search in HUKD. There were many HP trade-up deals last year. Details were discussed in those deals.

The £290 got DVD-RW as normal, if you read the specs you would know. I already pointed it out once.

So you machine has a 1TB SSHD instead of a normal 1TB HDD, it is worth £100 extra. You are been laughable. 1TB SSHD 2.5 inch £44. The price difference is £10/£15.

Yours is not SSD, is SSHD. Stop defending if you do not even know the difference.

Hard drives are cheap. Acer make nice screens but at this price I would expect a dedicated GPU of some sort. It isn't terrible but you can get more for your money. Cold i'm afraid.

I didn't see the dvd on the picture . I thought dvd+ssd worth the 90/110£ extra .

It meant to say
Hybrid HDD, DVD Rewriter.

Hybrid HDD the term is not normally used, but we can work out it means SSHD, i.e Solid State Hybrid Drive.

In general, A10-8700P R6 beats HD5500.

Even the A10-7300 R6 beats HD5500. Probook 455 with A10-7300 can be had for £200 after trade-in cashback.

Average for the money as others have said - I would look at Dell Outlet for value machines and you can get something better suited (e.g. better graphics, RAM, HDD, etc.).
