ASDA are doing a 10 year old 70cl Aberlour Single Malt for £20, down from £35. I know it's at Amazon for the same price but just wanted to let ppl know it's cat the same price at another outlet and in case they didn't want to wait around for Amazon to deliver it. After all it's the weekend.

This is an alright whisky, although it is one that always seems to be significantly reduced somewhere! My whisky buying habits are entirely dictated by what is currently available at a reduced price, I'm sure I'm not the only one. The more expensive stuff goes on my Christmas present list. :smiley:

I got some of this at this price about a year ago. Quite nice for £20. I'd definitely get some again at this price.

£20 for a named single malt is good. £30 is normal.

But this 10 year old Aberlour is nearly always on offer at £20/22, its ok, but you'd be a mug to pay £30 for it. Their 12 year bottles, thats another matter, they are usually just over £30 and extremely rarely reduced. It makes me wonder, if the 10 year old is produced for the supermarket price point.

You likely know but the 12 year old is reduced at the moment too £24.99 in Waitrose and similar in other supermarkets. Aberlour is one of my favourite distilleries at the moment.

Of course it is. It is a very average whisky. The 12 year old is wonderful and the A'bunadh is epic.

Also Glenlivet at this price, the new one with no age on it. either is a good price for a single malt nowadatys
