TPO has launched 4G plan at affordable price beating ID mobile deals. For £6.99 you'll get 2Gb data, 600 mins and unlimited texts. It's a 30 day contract so worth trying it. Hope it helps someone!
Been quite pleased with mine. The porting process didn't go smoothly, but was only 2 days worth of oddness until my number sorted itself out.
Also pleased with the service. My phone only ever displayed '4G' on Three, now get '4G+' on TPO/EE and the download speeds are 3 times that screenshot above. For £7, can't complain.

Life Mobile (EE) is probably a better bet. 4G coming in the next few weeks for an additional fee, probably a couple of quid extra. I only know this because they asked me to take part in a survey recently and showed a mock up of the new 4G service charges. Great UK customer service as well.

I was with TPO up until a few months ago, when they changed their pricing structure, what I had would have gone from £12 to over £25. Obviously, I left, as I am sure many others of their customers did. I didn't have any other problems with them and customer service was fine.
Stupid way to run a business though, they could have kept me as a customer - and upgraded me to a 4g plan now they are available.

Having just looked at their web site, it seems that all their prices are back to what they were pricewise. So the 6GB plan I had is now back to £12. I assume they lost a shed load of customers, and had to do a U-Turn! Incompetent bean counting managers, thinking they can increase prices and profits, without losing customers.
Here we go, this as a quote from the email they sent me, informing me that my £11.99 6GB unlimited text/minutes plan would now be twice the price:
"| We’re launching a new range of plans which offer more flexibility, allowing you to customise your plan to suit your needs.
Your plan will change from 1st December 2015.
From 1st December 2015 as your current £11.99 monthly plan is no longer available, we’re migrating you to the new £11.99 monthly plan which now includes 1 GB, 100 minutes and 100 texts. If you’re happy with this option, there is no need to contact us as your new £11.99 plan will start automatically from 1st December."
Thats 4 months to do a complete u-turn, must have been a disaster for them.

I had the same problem. Was on a great deal with around 6GB data, they changed the price and said that I'll get 1GB for double what I was paying for the 6GB. They weren't too bothered about keeping me as a customer. It's a hassle when you've transferred your number over and then have to look for a new deal/contract and switch your number again

Bill always is over what they state. I have the 6gb allowance unlimited text and minutes. Bill came to £32! Apparently I went over the allowance but they cannot tell me by how much. So paying £20 for going over an allowance that they cannot tell me or prove or showed in the bill!
This company is a fraud and talking to their customer service is like taking to a someone that has been sectioned!

22 Mar 161#56
Price wise it's a good deal but TPO are the biggest frauds ever. Took several months to cancel a contract with them. They had a "3 months low price" deal when I joined... They didn't state it was 3 calendar months which meant 2 months and 2 days for me, not 3 months. Started charging high price and when I noticed, I had to pay 2 months full price as I was too late to downgrade it.

22 Mar 16#55
Ah yes then, avoid 3 if the signal is no good. I generally avoid Vodafone as had poor customer service and issues trying to leave when I was with them a few years ago and don't want that hassle again. Also I only started to get cold calls after I left Vodafone so am fairly sure they sold my mobile number to third parties. I currently have a Giffgaff sim for free calls to other Giffgaff members and I top up a tenner every three months for that, use the credit slowly on pay as you go, and for data have a Freedompop sim which the free 400MB covers my needs as I am in wifi coverage most of the time. Still, this is a good deal to me and would be tempting if I need more minutes or data.

I tried 3 just a few months a go. I've tried ID mobile more recently and my sister is currently with them and has the same problems (plus she's had some major billing problems with ID but that's another story).
Like I mentioned it's mostly indoors that I struggled getting a signal and outdoors it was OK. Personally for me, Vodafone has been the best with fast 4G speeds most places including indoors. I'm currently with them and they never seem to get good reviews from other members of HUKD!

I've had no bad experience with receiption or service from TPO. The line on the website and in the auto-response is that existing customers will have access to 4G from July. However, I used the customer service form to request being moved to this plan and received a quick reply that it has been changes.
"We are just writing to confirm that your request for your TPO plan has been received.

nige182
22 Mar 16#36
If you have tried them recently then I agree you have to stick with what you can get a signal on. However if you tried them a couple of years ago, or on 2G/3G but now have a 4G phone, I would suggest trying again with a free PAYG sim just to be sure. I used to have that same problem, but the 3 signal in my area is now great. In fact I have some areas where there is no EE signal and one area I know has no signal on any network for 2G/3G, however I did get a Three 4G signal there.
With the Three-O2 merger still a strong possibility and the promises of even more investment if it goes ahead, the outlook of putting an MVNO on Three seems good.
Shame. I was with them last year and whilst the data speeds weren't great I always had signal. I've tried 3 and ID mobile and struggle to get a signal at home or a few other places (indoors). Would have considered joining if they were still using EE
