I know there is a presumption of quality about 3M, but I have used this 'easy tear' stuff and it is useless.

I think most people will realise that in this instance 'useless' means that the tape doesn't tear easily or stick very well.

I always have a few rolls of this 3M Lidl tape in stock for emergencies and have never experienced any problems
I always cut the tape anyway (for a neater edge) and the only time that I've had problems with the "sticking" is when I haven't bound it correctly - and in the process of re-applying - the original "glue" has remained intact
The copper feed pipes to my CH pump (DIY job) are still securely bound with this tape - after 2 years wear and tear
But that's a recommendation of the product - as it highlights the high quality of the glue and also the low quality of my tape repair binding efforts :wink:

I think most people will realise that in this instance 'useless' means that the tape doesn't tear easily or stick very well.
